TR: CAC and add-ons in pix

Associated parks:
None

A huge thanks to Dave and Matthew for together an excellent event on 2 EXCELLENT coasters. All the extras were just icing on an already delicious cake! Also, wanted to mention that the staff and crew at Silverwood were top notch and a lot of fun during ERT! It was great to see so many people that I haven't seen in ages (Bill B.) - and I hope that this event will happen again so that more can experience what this way-out-of-the-way park has to offer.

I also got to visit Riverfront Park in Spokane, Enchanted Village (again- ugh - although nowhere near as bad as my first visit), and my first time to the Puyallup Fair (WOW!!! who knew so many people would come out for Hillary Duff).

Here are links to pix I took - I was really trying to capture the places and the rides rather than the people.

Hey Jim, where's the video you shot of me? ;)

It was super great to finally meet you. What a cool dude. I WILL make it out to NY next year, promised (warned. ;)).

You mean Jim got video of Little Big Rob? :-P

Awesome pics, Jim. That's one part of the country I have yet to get to. I especially enjoyed the Puyallup Fair photos. Beautiful!

Gotta love Zippers! :-)

What an awesome event!!!!

It was great meeting some people...hopefully this event will happen again in the next couple of years.

Tremors 2nd tunnel could be my favorite wooden coaster moment of intensity....once owned by the Beast double helix entry. -G exit to the first tunnel, maintain the negative through the hop and enter tunnel 2 while still floating....then BAM. Slammage! Very similar to the double up intensity on the Legend. I couldn't help but grunt every time that positive hit. Entering the tunnel mid-float with the body chopper was incredible and was even better in the dark.

Thanks again to Silverwood for hosting this event and to Dave and Matthew for organizing everything!

Goodness, I had no idea Silverwood was so beautiful, as I've only ever looked at pictures of the coasters. I must get out there next next year for CAC. That flume and rapids ride look perfect.

The whole area around the park is beautiful. Its pine covered mountains as far as the eye can see.

With so many people saying they want to get to the park next year maybe we will have another CAC sooner than Dave and I originally thought?

Stay tuned.... ;)

After reading eveyone's responses I'm thinking passing this up for my buddy's wedding wasn't the right choice. A second chance next year would be warmly welcomed. It sounds like you guys did such a good job I doubt you would have trouble finding attendees.

LOL...you were missed, Scott!

If the park's soon-to-be-announced rumored drop tower is near the Coaster Alley section maybe we can include that in ERT, too, should we do CAC again next year ;)

Moosh any idea how tall the tower may be?

I agree we should do CAC again next year! ;) Next time any chance we could have our user names put on the name tags? I think it would be a lot easier in putting faces with (user) names while getting to know people.

No idea how tall it'll be, Lisa. And yes, I agree that anyone with a username should have that on their badge.

That would definitely make it a whole lot easier. Sorry to anyone who I met and then quickly forgot their name. :)

Hail Moosh,

This years "name" holders were NOT "CAC proof"; mine was flapping all over the place on the first downhill of the day. Those I took with me, also stuffed the tags for the same reason.

I don't mind wearing a name tag. It would be great to wear a tag that didn't flap around all over the place while riding coasters.

We just need those stick on tags "Hello, my name is.."

You didn't have to wear the nametags all day! Those were so the schedule was handy.
Hail Moosh,

I'm a half brain dead kinda guy, it takes me longer then a first greeting to remember someones name!

I figured other half brain dead peeps would forget me if I didn't wear the floppy name tag around my neck red baron style.
