TR: PKD 3/24

Associated parks:
None

Now Greg did a pretty good job summerizing the day in his TR but there are a few things I need to throw in:

Bubbles: The hotel we stayed at had a huge four tier fountain about 25ft from our room. The night before Brandon took a full bottle of Mr. Bubble and dumped in inside the fountain around midnight. We were waiting for a huge amount of buubbles to appeare but nothing happened. When we woke up we were proud to find the all four levels were covered in bubbles.

Skee Ball: I only found one area at PKD that had skee ball tables. Now the tables were the old PTC ones and these things were ancient. I think Jesus played on these tables they are so old. Anyway I had a hard time playing on these tables. These seemed to be the standard 10ft tables but we only got 6 balls instead of nine and I had a hard time with the nets. It was a very good learning experience and I only broke 200 a few times.

Outer Limits: Finally I hit #100! Outer Limits at PKI was my 50th coaster and it was cool to make the one at PKD #100. I guess I have to make Joker's Jinx at SFA #150 or #200. Anyway I didn;t get to PKI last year to check out the new restriants on OL. I must say that we really enjoyed the ride. After having two laps on Volcano before OL the launch didn't seem as intense but overal the ride experince was great.

Volcano: My second favorite launch ride, I truley enjoy this ride and is a personal favorite of mine (and not becuase it was my first launch coaster ever and I had a rollback on my first ride :) ) I love the themeing, the launch, and the inversions. All in all a great ride and I got a front seat ride and a back seat ride and I shot a lot of video and plan on making a very short video of the ride.

All in all it was a great weekend and the weather was perfect. I had a great time and I want to thank Scott, Brandon, Greg and Maria for a great weekend!

VANDALISM, can you begin to imagine how much time and money it will cost to clean that fountain? I'd be willing to bet you screwed that hotel for several hundred dollars.

You should be ashamed, but you seem PROUD!

Obviously immature.

While we were there I shot video with my Nikon Coolpix 885. Here is the final resulthttp://65.169.104.39/volcano.mov

dude - bubbles in a fountain is not cool.

I work for a newspaper that covers a small village, and that village has a big ol' fountain that they are very proud of, and it gets Mr. Bubble in it all the time. And I know how much it costs to clean up.

Quit calling it Out** Lim*** It hasn't been called O.L. since the beginning of November 2000, it is now Flight of Fear.

Does it really matter if he calls it OL? You knew what he meant, didn't you? Sheesh.

By the way, dude, that video is beautiful. And the bubbles thing is friggin hilarious. *thumbs up*

Hotel pranks are the best

Hotel pranks are not the best. Such things happening over & over cause such things as no fountains. They put stuff out there like that because people aren't supposed to be under suspicion all the time, they're supposed to offer patrons nice things like that, they don't have to watch people like babies on their properties, but some people screw it up. Not to mention, rate increases. It's bad enough that people take the towels!

I went to BGW once with a group, let's just say poor Days Inn, poor us, because after that Days Inn, we went nowhere.

Bubbles in the fountain is funny to you. Some people think other things are funny, like line jumping, smoking in line, swearing loudly, dribbling basketballs around parks, starting fights.............. shoplifting, stealing cars, b&e, drive-bys. Hey, why not... as long as it's fun, who cares how it affects other people? Who cares what the cost is, as long as I don't have to pay it?

Ummm what's b&e?

And for the record, I think people pulling so-called "pranks" like that need their azzes whipped.

jeremy

--who always caught an azz whipping whenever he did dumb stuff

I think thats the wron gway to think about it. What if u were on teh recieving end of those peole's pranks or fun as u call it.

Since when did coaster enthusiasts become the moral voice of America? Give 'em a break.

(And not to open up a whole nother can of worms, but ANYTHING can be funny. In the immortal words of George Carlin, rape can be funny.)

This has nothing to do with the fact that Dan is an enthusiast. I'd be just as upset if he wasn't.

And yes, rape could be funny.... but never to the person being raped.

And yes, again, I can see how this might have been funny at the time. I might have been tempted to do it myself, but with a little forethought, I would have realized how stupid it was.

Imagine Daffy Duck raping Elmer Fudd.

And just to stay a bit on topic, hey Dan, how much did you pay for your camera?

-----------------
If the shoe fits, find another one.

ok... now imagine some filthy, disease-ridden man raping your sister. not so funny.

Point is: pranks are funny, but just think before ya pull them....

2Hostyl: b&e... breaking and entering

You know, I never said rape is always funny, or even funny in general. I said it CAN be funny.

Also, I just looked around for the camera Dan is using, and it looks like I can get it for around $450. Anybody know where I can get a deal?

Note to self: Save all discusions on personal pranks for the Moderators Forum or don't post them at all.

I bought the camera used off a friend for $200. Its a great camera and I highly reccomend it.
