Toyota Corolla magazine ad

The back cover of the new People magazine (June 23, 2003) shows a Toyota Corolla ad with two "trains" of red Corollas speeding along a yellow coaster track. I am trying to figure out which coaster is pictured- it is yellow Arrow track with white supports in form of a boomerang-type element (possibly the Millennium Coaster in the U.K.?) More interesting, though, is the fact that the coaster has been superimposed into a forest of trees, which turns out to be Six Flags Magic Mountain if you look hard enough (you can see the Revolution's loop behind the boomerang structure, Goliath's lift hill to the extreme left of the picture and one of Riddler's Revenge's green loops in the upper right corner.)

Anyone else seen this one?

I've seen the ad. It's SFMM's Viper with the color of the boomerang's track and supports altered.

Yea, I've also seen this and always wondered...I never noticed the MagicMountain coasters in the backround...

ah technoogy altering coaster track one ad at a time. I remeber when V2 was just announced at SFGAm they showed a pic of S:UE and it had the colors changed to Blue and yellow. I had to explain to every one at my school that it was a doctered photo and that ours was not finished and how it did not have a storage shed under the front spire.

That has got to be THE most photographed coaster ever. I have seen Viper on commercials, movies, magazines, I mean you name it. That is " the coaster." I think it has alot to do with the fact that its in (ok maybe just near) L.A.

For a little change of pace, a newer car ad features a shot of Medusa's interlocking corkscrews. I forget the brand of car...

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

Actually I think you are thinking of the Canon Digtial ad. It has on one half a black-and-white picture of a slide, and on the other side Medusas corkscrews. I have it on my "Coaster Wall" now along with hundreds of other coaster pics.
I didn't even think of the most obvious answer! I was trying to think of a yellow-tracked Arrow coaster when I should have been thinking of a SFMM Arrow coaster.

Not too long ago Wild Adventures was building a Family invert called swamp thing and it showed a picture of an invert that was blue. Well seeing as swamp thing wasn't even up yet (Just opened last month) and I was in the park in march there was no invert that color and I figured they just took a generic pic and put it in the ad.

By the way has anyone else seen a Family invert before? No loops or inversions just some twists and turns. Seems like there should have been a couple of them out there by now.

Vekoma has a few family inverts at the Paramount Parks... Canada's Wonderland has the Silver Streak, which I think has blue in its color scheme.

If Milli Vanilli fell in the woods, would someone else make a sound ?

I saw X in that commercial too. you have to look really close in the upper left to see it.
