Tornado now released from Ride_Op Coaster Productions

Tornado, the latest whirling masterpiece from Ride_Op Coaster Productions is now out and is spinning park patrons through seven intense inversions and more twisted track than should be possible in a small space. Pictures and a download link are availible below.

Wow. How you can design this, I have no idea. I just don't understand how you can adjust the control points to get a smooth coaster when they overlap so much. I guess you must spend tons of time on each point in 3D view. Amazing again.
Wow, talk about a nauseating coaster! This coaster also has one of the smoothest cobra roll type inversions I've ever ridden on No Limits! Great job, you've got a lot of time on your hands!

No offense man.... but is it really that hard to NOT have the files in zip format so I don't have to go through the agony of unzipping them and then deleting the zip file?

It seems like such a small thing, but it's annoying!

This file is in a .zip format because it includes a custom train texture. Zipping the files together was the easiest way to put them both up.

Agony?

The legend lives!

LMAO. You gotta love that texture. The ride is great, but it does spike at 7 Gs twice, and 9 once.

When did American Eagle get more airtime than Viper?

The high G force spikes don't make sense to me. The highest I saw was 6, and but some reported all the way up to 16. What else is strange is that when I ride it the g forces aren't always the same. The last few rides on it barely got to yellow a few times, yet I've seen red sometimes. I'm running on a GeForce 2 GTS with a PIII 750, and I'm wondering if different systems get different g force readings.

WOW.......I would die on that ride....no im just playin'....The ride would be better If u didnt have the spiral thing I got dizzy following it. It had trouble following it a little though.

The one thing that constantly impresses me about your coasters are your supports. Simple and functional, and very realistically portrayed. How you managed to fit all of that track into such a tiny space and sitll make it look as though it could stand up is beyond me. The only coaster of mine that even comes close is Ricochet, but that's entirely different style.. sort of monolithic in structure. I always enjoy riding your coasters RideOp, they're a guarenteed thrill.

ok i dont know how to work stuff like that. lol. but it would be nice if someone could make a real rollercoaster wit that same type. but to make it much more better add lim motors to it to make it feel like a real tornado. now what will this fall under for anytype of game example like i know you cant use it under rct. but could u use it under roller coaster factory or could you just go there and just download and play it at anytime that is my question lol...PEACE

Good ride, but I got the train to roll back...I think before the last mid-course brake.

What did you do to cause the train to roll back?

I stopped the train on the brake before the cobra roll and it never made it to the next brakes. I had e-stop on, but I don't think that mattered. *** This post was edited by B&M Webmaster on 5/9/2002. ***

I tried the same test, stopping the same train in each brake. After clearing the brakes at the top of the lift I hit the E-stop and left it on until the train stopped completely. Then I released it and so on until I had gone all the way through the course. On my system it crawled into the third block brake, but it made it. I think frame rates can affect that, as well as the g force spiking and inconsistancy issue.

Ah ok, it looks like it's going to make it, but doesn't. My framerates are horrible due to drivers and my laziness. I need to get a new video card. Anyway, very cool ride. :)
great
