Top Thrill testing today..

well in my hotel room now at breakers express. spent thurday and friday at the park. Top Thrill was down both days, but on friday (today) they started running the trains in the late afternoon. in all, they launched about 5 trains, then took all 6 trains off ther track, and installed a large heavy peice of rectangular black metal to the rear of all the trains .. it looks to me like this is what the removed theming elements were connected to.

anyway, they put 3 of the trains back on the track and launched them. overall i saw about 6 launches, and all them easily cleared the top of the tower.

i'm very upset i drove 8 hours to get here and TTD was closed (i knew in advance, yeah, but came anyway). the worst part is, it looks like it's just about ready to go, on the day i have to head home (well, assuming the thunderstorms going on now blow over).

i dont want to make this a trip report, but overall it was a fantastic couple of days even without TTD and i could not be more impressed with MF! =)

Man, go figure. We were there Tuesday thru this morning and never even saw anyone working on the ride. I was really bummed it wasn't running. I'll write a trip report later on. BTW, my fiance's little girl rode most of the coasters for her 1st time. Damn, I'm proud of her! :)

I just checked the webcam this morning and it seems as though they are launching trains. There are bystanders lookin on and about 5 employee's on the platform. Hopefully TTD has recovered and will be back in operation within a couple of days.

Yes, hopefully. Im leaving on Thursday night to the point and will be there Fri and Sat(not exactly my choice of days, but thats all i could get...). Hopefully by then its running.

I am pretty sure they have just been moving the trains around on the wheels as of right now. I am recording the web cam images, and this is what I have gotten from them so far.

I just checked the web cam and there are people in the station!
