What evidence would someone provide to moderators that they work in a given position at a given company?
Company letterhead verifying position from HR. Last 3 paystubs. Email from employee to reddit moderator from corporate account. Email will include a copy of employee ID card. Driver's license, social security card. Passport.
Whether or not you believe verification really depends on if you trust the moderators of the sub. I moderate two subs on Reddit and while we don't typically need to verify anyone, the standards are ours, not Reddits. Reddit does have an AMA sub devoted to such things and they likely have a very high standard, but they are also rarely doing those with people who wish to remain anonymous.
With all that being said, at the time, enthusiasts seemed convinced that the ride would be down for the rest of the season (insert eye roll). This maintenance guy was the first to say that this is an easy fix and the ride would be up rather quickly (I believe he said within a week). Turned out, the ride opened in a few days. Gives him a bit more credibility than being some random person looking to cause trouble.
