I was able to go on the ECC Germany list, a little over a week ago, and got to several parks that I hadn't been to previously.
On the trip I got to ride Geusente Sau? at Tripsdrill, and the coaster at Klotten as well(Don't remember the name of it at the moment).
These two coasters are what bring me back to the title of this thread. I now am seriously considering raising them to that elite 10 list that can never be openly discussed on this forum.
So I was wondering, without listing every coaster that people may have on their elite 10 list, does anyone else have a steelie that doesn't break all the records rated up there with the best of them.
For the record, I have at least 5 steelies that just about break the 100 ft height limit on my elite 10.
Records mean nothing to me, hence why I still haven't returned to CP to ride Dragster. But Maverick will get me back there.

I've always loved the Disney mountain coasters. The new Space Mountain is brilliant, but the old one was great and the one at WDW still is great. *** Edited 10/14/2006 7:53:21 PM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

They once have held a record but are still awesome rides.
Top Gun: The Jet Coaster at Carowinds is my number one steel coaster.

That was my first thought, as it's basically perfect. Not to say that it's the best in the world, just saying it all fits together and flows perfectly. There's nothing I'd change about it.
Mindbender (SFOG) is in my top 10, but was probably alot better before the trim nazis got a hold of it.
There must be something "the best coaster in the world" has that Top Gun does not (otherwise it would be), and therefore, you would add that as your change.

^ No airtime on an invert? I'm guessing you haven't ridden Top Gun Carowinds in the front row. The floater air on the hill back toward the station is part of what makes it the best of the inverts.
You guess wrong. Yeah that's nice, but nothing compared to the insane air other types of coasters are capable of providing. That was the whole point...there are some things that inverts don't deliver that other types of steel and wood can. So, the ultimate invert may not be #1 on someone's list.
