The worst day at Cedar Point is better than the best day at work.
Thankfully it was during a test run. One would think the ride would open again, not anytime soon, but I am sure it will open later on. Did it just to damage to the train, or some of the ride itself?
By the way, John Peck, what happened on Iron Dragon?

Cedar Point vs. SFMM-like 15 isnt enough?

Kings Island has more train-below-track coasters than any other park on the planet (total of four). I would think that they more than any other park would be well aware of the unique clearance requirements of such rides!
Still AMAZES me that so many folks, employees included, fail to "get" the concept of a suspended/inverted coaster.....being BELOW the tracks is NOT a safe place to be, for man or machine. We have had way too many similar "incidents" like this (PGA, SFoG, PKI). This one may not have injured people, but it sure has taken its toll on one heck of a suspended coaster....(ironically, I found the ride better this year due specifically to all the brush, etc).
Final thought, although NOT likely: SFMM has extra trains for Ninja (4 in all I think)....

Since no one physically saw this happen, as far as I'm concerned it didn't until the park makes an official statement.
