Top Gun- The Jet Coaster pics

Anyone, Where can I see pics of Top Gun other than RCDB ?

And Also, is it worth an hour wait ?

Thanks !!

With Carowinds being my home park and Top Gun being my third favorite coaster, I have tons of pics and a very nice video at my site, http://www.starcoasters.com . The photos in the review aren't that great, the best are in the gallery. The video is in the videos section obviously. And, in my extremely biased opinion, it is worth ANY wait. It blows other inverteds and looping coasters away IN MY OPINION, and so far Volcano, Raptor, Batman, and Alpengeist haven't been able to change that opinion :P

Just click on the drop down menus to select Carowinds and Roller coasters and you'll be on your way.

Edit: By the way, heck yes, it's worth ANY wait! Like Jonathan said, it blows away other inverteds!

www.coastertown.com also has some pics, and I must agree with everything Jonathan and Will said. At my 3rd favorite it beats every just about every other coaster I've ever ridden including Hulk, Alpie, Dueling Dragons, Mind Bender, Roar, Volcano, Batman, The Beast, and Hypersonic.  Only the two hypers I've ridden (AC and SROS at SFA) beat it.
For the best set of pics, go to http://members.aol.com/somekick/topgun.html .  Ken was my co-hort on the TG construction page, which we did while it was being built.  I have some old TG construction pages up somewhere on my webpages.  I just don't know where they are right off.

I have actually never waited an hour, maybe 45 minutes or even 30 mins when the whole que is full but yeah I think it is worth an hour wait or maybe even longer... if there is an hour+ wait. Usually there are short lines and if the que is full don't let it trick you cause it moves real fast. On a crowded day it usually is filled up in the morning and later on shortens usually to the staircase entering the station... plus, they always run both trains. Carowinds is my homepark too and Top Gun is one of my favorite coasters :)
Oh yeah.  This is an awesome ride.  The speed is amazing and along with the short gaps of time in between inversions, Top Gun becomes an intense ride.  Any wait is okay for this ride. Wait for it! You wont regret it.  I have never had to wait more than a half hour for it on summer days and this past summer, it was a walk unless you wanted front row.  Top Gun is truly an awesome ride and Carowinds just needs more rides like it to become an awesome park and lose the reputation of the "black sheep" of the paramount parks.

Paramount Carowinds: Forgotten but not Gone
I think Carowinds is better than PGA anyways. Ive been to PGA, and it is a very nice park, but Carowinds has 2 wooden coasters, a water park, a better Top Gun and Vortex in my opinion. We just need another coaster:)
WAIT FOR IT!!!  This ride is INCREDIBLE!!!  It most definetly packs a punch and found its way to the top 10 on my coaster list.  The elements on this ride are perfectly timed and executed.  The batwing is awesome!  Definetly the highlight of the ride for me.  Like ditto and ghetto, I have never waited more than about 30 mins for this coaster and its worth every second.  They even play the top gun theme song while you are in line and its a cool song.  so basically... ride this ride
Most of the layout seems to resemble Montu.

Response to several comments:
TITAN: Definitely worth the wait.
Star and Jet: It was better to me than all other inverts excepting Montu.
Ghetto: I liked Carowinds more than PKD...
Joey: If it seems a lot like Montu, that's because it is. I like to call it "Montu's little brother" :)
MForceX: Liking it more than Raptor isnt saying much (hehehe) ;)

I dunno...maybe I will always be partial to Top Gun...it was the only coaster at Carowinds I could really ride before I got over my fear of drops that aren't curved...(I used to be chicken). :)

I'm going to be the odd one out here and say I like Top Gun, but I don't think its all that great and not my favourite ride at the park (that spot belongs to the Hurler.)  I've always joked that if I want to ride Montu, I'll go to Florida   Even braked as it has been when I've rode it, I'll still take Montu.  Montu's batwing is more intense than TGs.  Its shorter and not as spread out as TGs, which has to accomodate the walkway setting (ingenious as it may be.)  The Egyptian themeing is another reason for me to like it better.  The footchopper and dives in and out of the trenches on Montu's second half is great.   I guess one reason that I'm glad about the layout being sooooo close to Montu is the Batwing.  I'm glad that they changed their minds from the Cobra Roll to the Batwing.  At least Montu doesn't have that annoying Top Gun soundtrack.  One can only take so much of Berlin and Kenny Loggins.

I've found that I've enjoyed other B&Ms inverteds more than TG (mainly, Raptor, SFOG's Batman, Dueling Dragons, and Talon just to name a few of them.)  I love having Top Gun at the park but there have been times that I've gone there and not rode it.  Give me a marathon on the Hurler at night anytime!
