Hi! I was wondering if someone could help me out...
I'm looking for a list of US Amusement Parks, ranked in order of SIZE or Popularity (i.e. # visitors per year).
I'm also interested in people's personal opinions: What would you say are the 10 best parks in the country?
Thanks so much!

What is life without geniuses?
I think Busch Garden Williamsburg is somewhere in there too

Number 1 And Only Cedar Point
It appears Lance took that data down. Genius: You're not even remotely close.

I've been to around forty parks across North America, and have found something to like about almost all of them. I would be hard pressed to list a top ten, but (to me) five stand head and shoulders above the rest and have earned a spot on our "visit every year" list - Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Cedar Point, Islands of Adventure, Kennywood, and Knoebels.

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.
Well from what I remember from Lance's site, The florida disney parks held down the top three (maybe) four spots, followed closey by the California Disney park. Them the Universal Parks (FL & CA). After that, was SFGAdv, SFMM, CP, SFGAm and PKI though I am not sure what the exact order was. In any case, I'm sure all these parks were at the top of the heap. Though I'm not exactly sure how they shook out. Hope that helps some.

P.S. This was based on 1999 attendance figures...
I believe that SFGAM gets around 3 million vistors a year.

3) BGT
4) SFMM
5) PKI
6) Knoelbel's
7) PKD
8) BGW
9) Kennywood
10) Disney World Orlando
but as for the real order I ain't got a clue but I bet CP is #1!

It's NOT Cedar Point at #1... not even close. Have you ever been to Orlando? And Kennywood or Knoebel's in the top 30 even? They might be good parks, but no way.

Blink 182's Wasting Time
here's my top four:
1) Knoebels
2) Holiday World
3) Hersheypark
4) Kennywood
I just think these parks are the best run and make sure their coasters are running the best they possibly can.

People! This thread is not about how much *you* like a park, but simply how many people walk through the gates between Jan 1 and Dec 31 in a single calendar year.
As for SFGAm, the 99 attendance was 3.4 million. (that one I remember). However, I will ask Lance for the actual stats as I am sure he has them achived somewhere.
In 99 SFGadv had the highest attendance of all the Six Flags Parks........courtesy of screamscape.com

Six Flags Great Adventure rules.....well... on weekdays that is
JAdler also asked for peoples personal opinions of the best not just attendance.
