TONS of Orlando trip help needed!

Alright, I am heading for Orlando at the end of this month and returning on the 30th. I am staying at a hotel right acroos Sea World and will be hitting that park. I want to defently do IOA, ( not Universal, been there) SW. Now here is the problem. I am a Disney freak and have only been to Epcot. I didn't ride Test Track and I would like to go back to do that and more. Animal Kingdom I would like to go to but wouldn't kick myself in the head for not going. But The Magic Kingdom and MGM and Must do! It looks like transportation to the parks is going to be tough ( can't drive, mom is down there working) It looks like I have enough days so what is the best way of hitting these parks? Don't mention Oldtown cuase I won't be going there. Thanks for any tips!

I would also like to know places were I could get info like web sites. IOA is defently a park I would want to use a straigy for, I am more than willing to arrive at 9 and run:)

I went to Orlando last year. Well if your a coaster enthusiast I would prefer you try to hit IOA 1st. They have some really kool coaster. Every theme park is located on International Drive, the best way to get from park to park is by the shuttle. They arent expensive and there are stops everywhere. If you wanted to get some exercise you can walk. Everything is within a walking distance, i would say 3-5 miles.

I'm not sure you need a strategy for IOA, they only have 20-some odd rides. Everytime we've been there, we've done it all by the time the day is half over. Many times we left the park early to beat traffic (I-4 can get very ugly) because we'd ridden to our heart's content.

Many hotel's in the area offer free shuttles to the parks. Check with the hotel you're staying at, it may be easier than you think. Definitely make time for the Magic Kingdom and Disney MGM. You're not missing a whole lot with Test Track - it's cool and all but if you've already done Epcot then I'd skip it. Animal Kingdom is nothing special either. We spent a total of a half a day there in over a dozen trips to Walt Disney World.

I do believe there are also busses that run specifically to BGT from Orlando. That might be another park to hit.

Do some searches on Google and you'll find all the web sites you'll need with info you're looking for.

There's also a shuttle that leaves in the morning from Sea World to go to Busch Gardens! This might be a great option for you since BGT is about an hour away, yet has some of the best coasters around!

I recommend www.wdwig.com for your Disney questions. That place is sick when it comes to WDW info.

Be careful. I would plan on adding some extra time in every park. I was there around the same time and waited 3 1/2 hours for splash mountain. 3 hours for back to the future. This was 6 years ago, but I imagine it will be the same. Oh yea learn Portuguese, tons of Brazilians.
Check out the tickets on http://commerce.4adventure.com/store/dept_tickets.asp?dept_id=205 they have some really good ticket deals. My fav...14 consecutive days at Universal Studios, IOA, BGT, Sea World & some water park. I was going to be able to go to Orlando this year with my friend...but she decided she didn't want to work and quit her job so now I can't :( but if I was I was going to get that ticket.

SW in my mind is basically more of a tourist trap then park. Its like pay 30 bucks for bad aquarium with coaster. I would only go to disney if you have several younger family membrs. IOA is great. I have to say go to US it is just or almost as good as IOA/ (minus the coasters)

Thanks alot guys! I am staying at the Rennesance by SW. Now are all the parks really that close? I remember the whole WDW being like in a rurl area. I don't mind walking but, I would rather use the busses esspecially at night.

Thought I'd throw my two cents in on the above quote. I was at SW on Memorial Day weekend. First, alpengeistBGW was right about the quality of aquarium, as it is no where near as good as it was say 3 to 4 years ago. It is obvious that they put all of their capital into Discovery Cove and Kraken the last couple of years and they let the quality of their "bread and butter slide". The entrance fee was more than $50, much higher than the $30 alpengeistBGW speculated.

My recommendation is if you have never been to SW, it is still much better than any other aquarium that I've ever been to and may be worth the trip. If you are just going to ride Kraken, I'm not sure it's worth the $50 park fee. If you are going to do Busch Gardens in Tampa, they had a multi-park pass for around $80 which may be worth it if you are looking to do coasters.

Kraken is definitely a great coaster. It's the first floorless that I've ever been on, and I thought that it was pretty intense. It is a very smooth and fast ride, where at times you are not sure whether you are inverted or right-side up. The queing was pretty good, as it only took about 30 minutes to get on during the peak time of the day. It was about 10 minutes longer for the front and the back - something that's not as important to me.

Anyhow, I hope this helps more than it confuses you.

Well, you're certainly not going to be walking to the parks. They're not that close.

Some rough distances for you:

Your hotel to Disney World - 10 miles

Your hotel to Universal/IOA - 5 miles

Your hotel to Sea World - across the street.

Universal to Disney World - 15 miles

Plus it's all major highways. Don't go with the idea you can walk anywhere. There are plenty of busses and shuttles (like I said, check with your hotel, many offer free shuttles) that can get you to the parks.

I disagree with the others on Sea World too. It's pretty cool. Kraken is one of my favorites and Journey to Atlantis is pretty neat too. I'd definitely decide if BGT is a viable option and pick up some kind of pass/ticket to do both BGT and SW - you'd get a discount that way.

If you do to ioa and want to ride spiderman get there first thing in the morning and ride it first becuae the wait get real long real fast and is going to stay that way all day. Dueling dragons never has too bad of a line so don't worry about that too much and save the hulk for around 3 p.m. when the wait should be much shorter than in the morning.

Yes, Very easy. Once u pay your admisiion price you have the choice of go to IOA or Universal.
I suggest you do SeaWorld and Disney first. Save the best for last. The first time I went, I did IOA first. The entire rest of the trip (I hit SW and BGT) I was going through IOA withdrawel. I was comparing the latter two parks to IOA in every aspect. Definatley took a little away from my enjoyment of those two parks. Be warned. :)

Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society-Chicago Chapter

First big mistake: Stay at a Universal Loew's Hotel (Hardrock, Portifino Bay, Pacific), there not expensive, and you get front of the line access, plus on certain days you can go to the park early, and the Hardrock has the Palm, which I go to pretty much every night that I stay in a Universal Hotel (Get the Lobster Bisque!) But anyways, I think that's is really the best thing to do. Seaworld never really gets that crowded, on Presidents Day Weekend there were walk ons to the front of Kraken, and Atlantis all day. You don't really even need to go to Seaworld, nothing that great, well one or two things but that is it. ANd whatever you do, do not go to the Shamu show, it's evil.
