If you listen instead of talk, you not only know what you know, you know what everyone else knows too!
Check out the news, we've already been informed of this. Does anyone know if the Cedar Point special is airing tonight? I checked out my TV guide and it said no, but I've heard it's supposed to be on today.

I don't need drugs to get high, I need coasters!"
I heard from one of the guys who's in it that the Cedar Point special is supposed to air some time in June, but when I checked the Discover channel listings for June I didn't see it. *** This post was edited by Jim Fisher on 5/28/2001. ***
Sweet! I'll set my VCR to tape it! Thanks for telling us!

I checked the info out on the site. A special featuring my new #1 wood coaster, Texas Giant! (I've ridden Raven. Will ride Shivering Timbers hopefully next year)

Life is the ultimate roller coaster
One question about the 30 coasters in 24 hours, why didn't they fly to southern California?

How about 43 coasters in 24 hours:

Kings Island (13)
Kennywood (5)
Darien Lake (6)
Worlds of Adventure (6)
Cedar Point (14)

They cheated by counting the kiddie coasters. Do you think they should count? I say we become Team Coasterbuzz and beat it exactly how Gemini said.

Now I know why the GRP didn't celebrate after breaking the record. They we're boooooeddd at PGA.

So What, Suck it up and move on. It was late at night and the people didn't realize they would get their ride if they we're in line.

Yes, we already know, the record can be broken, it was a stunt to attact attention to ACE, and it worked. Will anyone do it this year??????

Hard to say, it takes 4 months to plan the logistics of hitting all the parks, plus it helps when you're the PR rep of ACE. Right, I'm sure if I called and said I'm joe blo and I wanna get back doored on your rides, they'd tell me to take a hike. So it helps when you're the PR rep of ACE.

Of coarse we'd all like to ride like they did, and I can do it. Let's congradulate GRP on a job well done. They set the bar and now we have something to shoot for.

If anyone else is planning on breaking the record then e-mail me. I'll go, I'm on the east coast. Actually, that doesn't matter, I'll fly anywhere to break that record. I'll give up sleep, food, and be booeeeedddd to break the record. Let's rock... I'll be there. Trust me, I wake up early, don't get tired, can take the heat of being booooooooedddddd, and won't complain. I'm in shape, I can RUN to each ride. I'm ready to rock... Let me go on your next record breaking attempt.

I told my friend to tape these shows for me several times--I hope he does!

robvia - I'm right there with you. I'll go anywhere and do almost anything to break the record. None of this kiddie coaster stuff either. It should be non-stop action. None of this driving 7 hours when you can take a quick flight and be at the next park in a couple of hours. I haven't thought the whole thing out but 39 (40, they counted Colossus as 2) can be easily done. I can imagine around 50.
What happened to Titan on Extreme Rides 2001? Yes, it wasn't on there, but we could show every little detail about Goliath last year...

-------------
It's my opinion!
You ain't going to change it!
Why even try?
Titan is too new man. I'm personally shocked that they had Hypersonic on. Most of that stuff was shot in 2000.

But they showed animations of X and all that other crap, and X isn't even built yet!!!!! Titan is open!!

How about smashing the record:

Starting at:
SFKK(7)-2 hour drive to...
CI(1)-20 minute drive to...
(possible 2 coaster stop at Stricker's Grove)
PKI(13-14)-4 hour drive to...
CP(14-15)-1.25 hour drive to...
SFWOA(actually has 10 coasters now)
maybe could do 2.25 hours to...
Kennywood-(6-7)

That's up to a possible whopping 56 coasters if we made good timing(I think we'll be fine:)) and they would let us count racers(Gemini, Racer, The Racer) and SG will let us come. Wow! I want to do it! We can easily beat it, but I want to blow it out of the water! Any takers? ;)
Probebly because Titan is very similiar to Goliath. The average TV viewer would not be able to tell the difference.

I also hated how they kept on cutting to the riders. I wanted to see the drops! Especially on Steel Dragon. Very poor footage of that coaster if you ask me.

I also think they need to stop these top 10 lists. I'am a CP fan and I consider it one of my home parks. I love the Magnum but there is no way it is the best steel coaster out there. Last year they had the Thunderbolt as the best coaster and it wasnt even on the top 10 wooden coaster list this year.

You're right, but, they showed X for all of 3 or 4 seconds. Titan could have been included, but I'm sure they didn't think that would make sense since is JUST opened and they devoted a large portion to Goliath last year. (If they used Titan, many non-enthusiasts would probably say, "Hey, they already talked about that orange one last year")

on more top ten coasters they showed superman ride of steel at SFDL and SFNE but not at SFA that really stunk! and what's this stuff with CP?ever noticed how almost every show is filmed there.i live on the east coast and my home park is SFA I mean CP has some great rides but so do we!our rides don't get recognized cause they're always filming at CP. 30 coasters in 24 hours was great though, hats off to ACE for hanging in through good and bad times on their record breaking acomplishment!
