With the movie coming out, which Paramount park do you think will make the first Tomb Raider ride? What kind of ride do you see it as, as well? I think the rumor about PKI might be right on, PKI has always been the start point of a lot of franchise rides i.e. Outer Limits, Top Gun. PKD might as well, IMO.
I see Tomb Raider as a dark ride al la Spiderman, or maybe a Beemer speed coaster, with a large amount of it underground and in themed buildings. I'd love to see that!

I think a Paramount park will be the first one! ;)
Although, when I think of Tomb Raider+Coaster, I think of a stand-up for some reason... Maybe a 4D, if not that, my third guess would be a B&M flying.

Next up: Stupid human tricks! Followed by: Stupid pet tricks!
Why can that never happen?
I think of a mine ride ! duh ! ;)

Maybe one of the paramount parks with a mine train coaster will retheme the ride to the Tomb Raider theming. Adventure express at PKI already has some theming elements in place, and it seems really out of place in the Action Zone.
I picture a Tomb Raider ride as a B&M inverted coaster that could be a mix of Montu and Katun. It can have the theme of Katun with the tunnels and ditches of Montu.
PKI Weasel, Adventure Express is not in the Action Zone area it is really in the Octoberfest area. Taht is if you want to get really technical.;)

Sorry, I just try not to think about a jungle themed roller coaster to be in an area themed to be German.
I think originally when they built Adv Express it was deemed to be in the Adventure Village/Wild Animal Safari/Lion Country Safari or whatever they were calling it area. :) Even though it was in the loop that WAS Oktoberfest.
With the rethemeing to action zone, the ride has been labeled an Oktoberfest ride on the current maps. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay out of theme :). It should be themed as a bavarian mt railroad for that area. In fact, rip out the rough riding arrow coaster and put in a zierer bmr. :)
Remember Oktoberfest in its glory? Bayern Kurve, Spinnen Keggers, Flying Ducthman, Bavarian Beetle, it really had a nice feel to it then.
Maybe people have thought the the "Adventure' of a Lifetime" on the 2002 Attraction fence might be referring to to Adventure Express and a World Record mine ride(longest, fastest, tallest, etc.). Who knows? I've been told that there are two big hints in the signs, but I can't really figure it out. Anyone else?
This coaster would fit perfectly, it's the rumored Giovanola Mine Diver for Gold Reef City, South Africa;

If they want a world record mine ride, they have to beat out Gemini, and that's pretty tough considering it's still one of the tallest, and longest coasters at Cedar Point.
I thought Paramount was turning the James Bond simulator into Tomb Raider?

The Bond Simulator is the Paramount Action FX Theater where this year they are showing 7th Portal and Smash Factory.

Is the Gemini a mine ride? I thought the Cedar Creek Mine Ride was the mine ride there?

I really love these kind of rides, so it would be my choice! Now, if they'd only let me vote . . .
I think it should be a B&M dive machine! It should be placed way in the back with tons of theming surrounding Tomb Raider, like have a first drop that goes straight into a ruin and most of the ride be like you are in that temple ruin with lots of head choppers and close encounters! An inverted would work great for this too, or perhaps a new concept coaster from B&M like a stand-up dive machine or flying, or a floorless would make it exciting. I just think that there is so much potential with a Tomb Raidre coaster that you shouldn't make a dark ride instead.

Steel- 1.Millennuim Force
Wood- 1.The Beast

Belmont Babem, yes, the Gemini is a mine train on Steroids! All a mine train has to do is be wooden with steel tubing for the rails, and it qualifies!
Technically Magnum is also a mine train too, so I guess they poured some miracle grow on the footers and then poof! You get a 205 ft. mine train. :)

Well I think that Tomb Raider would make a much better dark ride theme than a coaster theme. There were so many intracasies to the game that I think just SCREAM to be made into a dark ride. I wouldnt be opposed to a mine coaster, but I wouldnt want to see a Gemini style ride. Whatever attraction get the name "Tomb Raider", it damn sure better be enclosed. And who wants to see a big*****200 foot building right next to the Beast (literaly dwarfing the ride)
