As one of Camp RRC's Councilors I would like to extend to all attending Knoebels Phoenix Phall Phunfest this weekend an invitation to stop by Camp RRC for some serious fun.
To those who are camping you are more than welcome to join the collective down at Camp RRC where there's always space for another tent and all are welcome. You still have to pay for your camping but Todd Long reserves and pays for all of the spaces a year in advance so pay him when you get there.
If you're camping elsewhere, staying at a hotel or just driving in for the day feel free to stop by Camp RRC.
While the park isn't open on Friday Night there's plenty of activity at Camp RRC. All are invited to join in our annual pot luck dinner/bonfire. We ask that everyone brings a dish whether it be a dessert, steaks, a bag of chips or a bunch of peeps. We normally have burgers and hot dogs and have enough grills to warm up whatever needs it. Please bring your own drinks but if you like Birch Beer (it's like root beer if you're not in the know) we will have a keg. During and after dinner on Friday there's plenty of conversation and laughs to go around as Camp RRC transforms itself to the friendliest place on Earth where even the newest attendees are treated like old family.
Saturday morning outside of warming ourselves around the campfire we have breakfast for you. I will be making up loads of pancakes and there's normally some bacon and eggs as well as muffins for all to eat. Any additional food items are welcome for breakfast and if you really want me to love you forever I go nuts for Dunkin Donuts apple-cinnamon donuts that I sadly can't get around here. After breakfast it's off to Knoebels for a day of Phlyers, Phun and the Phoenix and if you're still needing to keep the fun going after the Knoebels bonfire is just a pile of embers head on down to Camp RRC because our fire is normally going well into the night with plenty of talk and laughs.
To get to Camp RRC we are located in the Knoebels Campground at sites TP1 to TP-11 with parking in TP2 and TP9. There is a map of the campground here: http://www.knoebels.com/KcampMap04.pdf or after passing by the Twister take a left onto Texas and follow it down until you see the big Camp RRC banner.
Also firewood is always needed at Camp RRC so if you can please stop by the Knoebels Campground store and pick up a bucket load of wood to keep the fire glowing bright it would be appreciated. Have fun and we look forward to seeing everyone in a few days.
