Tivoli VS Tivoliland

Jyllandsposten printed an article today, on how the Discovery Channel made an error on their website about the "top 10 thrillparks in the world". On the 4th spot they've placed Tivoliland, which isn't exactly the mecca of rides.

In the TV-show that went with the list they mentioned Tivoli as the 4th spot. The Discovery Channel has apparently admitted the mistake to Tivoli. The problem is that Tivoliland are blatantly using this position to market themselves. Tivoli have since tried to stop Tivoliland from abusing this, since it's actually their title.

It also has a statement from Richard Forster where he agrees with Tivoli, that it was indeed their position, and not Tivoliland's.

The website and TV crew have nothing to do with eachother, this is believed to be the reason of the error. A Boomerang and a Moser droptower is hardly anything to get excited about. While Tivoli inspired Walt Disney and H.C Andersen, and has the 3rd oldest operating rollercoaster in the world, and is one of the most visited parks in the world.

I'll see if I can translate the entire article tomorrow, it's rather late here now. Interesting, none the less. I wonder if Discovery will change their list?

LOL! This is indeed funny. Especially if you know Tivoliland!
This would be like giving Castles nĀ“Coasters the benefit of Disneyland, just because Disney has a castle and coasters!
