Jeff,
Why do you think you know exactly what's going on down there? Did one of the insiders call you and give you the details for the planning and running of the event? You started up with this expert-on-media-day stuff in a previous post and now you're at it again.
Media day was open for ANY ACE member to attend, it's just that you had to let ACE know ahead of time that you'd attend so they could send an official list to SFoT. I was never told of any limit, but just that SFoT wanted to know how many would attend; I assume they might have done that to guard against idiots trying to cheat their way in or something, I don't know. The catch is, this part of the process was never advertised outside the TX region (can't say if it was or not for those in the region). So when I found out I had to be listed it was too late to get my name on, despite my efforts to talk to ACE and SFoT personnel. Hence I could have gone had I known the details -- the ACE rep. told me I should have contacted him a day earlier to get in.
There you have it. Next time someone brings this up you'll know a little more. I know my membership isn't any sort of license for special stuff, but in this case ACE members WERE invited. No offense and sorry this post comes off as being rude, but I don't like people coming out with the "you're wrong" or "I know more" crap when they don't know what they're talking about.
