I really do not understand why kennywood does not get a ride like this. Or a ride like millennium force they should definitely try to brake so sort of record. They should also start to franchise. If they do not there small three parks could be over run by six flags or another big corporation. Hopefully the new ride is a fake and it will brake some records.

Fear the Ride of Us

Kennywood Entertainment owns four parks. (Kennywood, Idlewild, Sandcastle, Lake Compounce.) As for record breakers, sure, they're nice, but bigger isn't always better. Just look at such wooden classics like Raven, GhostRider, and Shivering Timbers. They're far from the biggest rides out there, yet continually rank among the best. The same goes for steel coasters. Even though it was the tallest when built, Magnum XL-200 continually ranks at or near the #1 spot on steel coaster polls.

Now, I'm as big a Kennywood fan as the next guy, but I've got to say something here. I'm not trying to start a fight with you, but do you really have to turn every post into something Kennywood-oriented? It's somewhat disgraceful.

Not to seem like a jerk but, i dont care who owns the park or what its called, as long as it offers a quality expeirience and has some good coasters.

I'll tell you what... right about now, as I look out into the cold, I'd kill for any sort of coaster ride. :)

I agree with Lynch on ALL of his points

Kennywood is a trolley park. It will never get the interest of a major like Six Flags. I don't think Kennywood has his train running on both rails if you know what I mean. Please Kennywood, stick to the headline when posting, or don't post at all.

kennywood, you need to calm down. Why do you always think Kennywood this, Kennywood that. Kennywood is a great park but they can only do a certain amount of renovations a year. This coming year they are changing a great coaster into an awesome coaster, how can you complain. You should be happy that they are even able to do that. You need to stop worrying about Kennywood they do what the staff feels is best. TAKE A CHILL PILL!!!!

I totally agree with kennywood. Maybe kennywood is saying they are going to build a coaster with no new records, and bam....they will finally reveal the true side of the revenge. If i can recall this is the month they are supposed to announce the coaster. God i hope so.

But why would a park do that. Then ACE wouldn't schedule a conference there cause there would be no way for them to know about it.Also people might not plan to go to that park if they don't live near it, because they aren't getting a major attraction. If you travel to go to a park that doesn't have a great coaster there's no reason to go! The main thing is tell every one what your making and try to make a big hype about that!

I'm sorry, but kennywood is to small to have large crowds, and let alone they take out a ride to put a new one in then they raise the price.

Kennywood is too small to have large crowds? Wow, I guess it amazingly grows into a bigger park the night before I go, fills up with tons upon tons of people while I'm there, and then shrinks back down to original size after I'm out of sight.

Kennywood can get packed. Ever go on Labor Day?

(Note: I apologize to all you Six Flags Over Texas fans out there... I can imagine your heartbreak whenever you checked this thread out to hear the buzz about your park's new coaster, and you get a bunch of talk about an amusement park near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.)
