What I'm asking for is simple; name what we are. Coaster nerd? Rail Jockey? I don't know, but just about anything would be better than "enthusiast".
Let's have your best ideas. I'm sure someone out there can pick a title that we would all be proud to call ourselves without sounding like you have a lisp every time you say it.

I agree 100%. Never used that term for myself... always just considered my self someone who likes coasters and parks.

"I wasn't always this cynical, but then I started kindergarden..."
It's a misrepresentation of the word as the internet tends to draw people who seek attention(like me), which has *nothing* to do with coasters. There *are* people out there who love to ride coasters who could care less about yelling about it on a coaster website. They usually lurk for information but don't care for all the yelling, chest thumping and politics. They are warm, funny and insightful. *They* are the people who most represent the word "enthusiast" IMO.
