My school is going on a very brief site visit to the Denver area next weekend and we are staying 1.41 miles from Elitch Gardens. I am planning to hit this park even though I here it sucks because I already am touring Denver during the day and I can't think of anything possibly better to do. Friday I am free 4:30 ish and Saturday 6:30 ish. So I have a limited amout of time and will probably go Friday. I would like to hit the 5 major coasters. Is this feasible with the crowds at this time? How should I attack it? I want to hit TFC and TII most cause I have riddin SFNE;s Mind Raper and 6 'Rangs so if I had to I would skip those. Is there anything I should know before going here, like what not to miss, or what to skip and if any halloween stuff is going to or should affect my plans.
Well sorry about the rant, back to Architecture, project due this week but at least I'll be riding new coasters next week.

Hit:
1. Tower of Doom
2. Mind Eraser
3. Boomerang
4. Twister II
5. Sidewinder
6. TFC
7. General Flats
That is depending on how long you stay. If you are worried about hitting all the coasters hit those first, it has just been my expierence that Tower of Doom gathers the longest lines. And Sidewinder or Twister II always have the shortest "coaster line."
Head to Twister II. I know the lines for that can get long and they usually only run one train. It is one of the best wooden coasters I have ever been on.

Fright Fest starts this weekend. There is Brutal Planet which costs money, Screams From the Past haunted house in the water park, I believe that is free. And new this year is Fearanoia, some sort of game where you can win a season pass. It is nice, with all of the Halloween theming Elitch's really becomes a theme park.

My first and only tip is to drastically change your pre-conceived notions about the park (or any park for that matter). You will only enjoy your day as much as you subconsciously want to. If you enter a park already thinking that it "sucks" then most likely you will not enjoy yourself. Take the park for what it’s worth and just have some fun!
