Time Twisters Box Revealed

A copy of the time twisters box is now on eb games's website:

http://ebgames.com/ebx/product/236325.asp

It shows a dinosaur (doesn’t the game already have those), a 50's car, and skeleton with knives. Nothing shown makes it look like it won’t be scenery intensive like wacky worlds. Then again it is just a box.

I think we've been assuming all along that it's just going to be another scenery ad-on...

..at least I have.

At least there is a coaster in the background.

I honestly don't understand the thinking there.

Is there really an intense desire by most RCT2 players for more scenery? Are people flooding Atari with calls demanding big, unrealistic jellybeans to place next to their rides?

For me, the game has always been about the rides. The scenery comes in a distant second. Maybe it's because I grew up with Kennywood. Yeah, there's a little themeing here and there, but mostly it's just trees and rides. That's the way I like it.

I'm not gonna start some laundry list of things I'd like, but a '57 Chevy is nowhere near the top of the list.

I know it's cheaper to pump out a scenery pack, but I honestly think that they're diluting the product's reputation.

If the game has ANYTHING to do with whats on the box.......I QUIT!

It looks like Wacky Worlds or Loopy Landscapes All over again.........

but then again from the box it looks like those things could be for new shows..i dont know....im just trying to make up anything....I DONT WANT ANOTHER SCENERY PACK!

I like all the different scenery options, as I don't find making the coasters very challenging anymore.

I really get into make a well-themed park, however, so all these new options are really exciting to me.

The last expansion sucked. The scenery was lame enough, but what really irritated me was the scenarios, something I enjoy playing for. They outright sucked.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

Oh. I haven't even tried the scenarios for RCT2 or the expansion.

I've pretty much gotten to the point where I use the game as a modelling tool to make 'mega-parks' and such.

If you look closly at the box's top half I noticed that the sky seems to be more of a dusky look that other RCT boxes which all have bright daytime skys. This might not mean much but just an assumption for the night time rumors!!

Also the blimp in the sky has the sun on one side and a shadow on the other. Usually this occurs when the sun sets.

Another thing the Skeletons and bird thing could be good for the ghost train ride, as long as there animated

I couldn't stop laughing when I read this because I couldn't agree more. Lol, giant jelly beans, I use them ALL the time. *sarcasm Actually the 57' chevy might be practical for my dorney park recreation in front of the Coasters Drive-In. But I can definately understand where you're coming from. Most of the scenery they have is unpractical and is just flat out stupid. I think what is really awkward about alot of the scenery I've seen is the scale. Everything is jumbo-sized.

Well it certainly wouldn't be a suprise if the new expansion like wacky worlds. The biggest problem I have with the game is that it keeps getting less and less realistic- less realistic rides, less realistic scenarios (build a theme park in the grand canyon- come on). Even the scenary is looking less realistic. They look to be on the path to alienating a lot of players.

I wouldn't start planning to use that 57 Chevy as scenery just yet. It could be another coaster train type.

Things like that were horrible in WW. There really was only one good "new" ride in my opinion, the Husky dog sled. Other rides just didn't make sense especially the Stage Coach coaster. That ride should have been like the Huskies, A mini car ride with horses. Another bad one was The mine car coaster. The trains looked fine but they were on a woodie instead of the mine train tracks. I also hated the cops on the Taxi ride. Without them the ride would look much better.

Quick, someone get out the box for Corkscrew Follies (a bona fide ride expansion set) and figure out what the cover of that one was...

Well, I just looked it up on the internet, and that box had really nothing to do with any new rides that were included (the almighty Steel Twister, for example), so let's just give this one a bit of time.

The thing is, though, that the game is only $20. That sounds a bit cheap to have any substance.

Did the last one do well enough to justify an extension?

Damn It! They finaly get around to 50's theming long after I need it in one of my parks.

Well, it appears that this one will suck in most ways like the last one.

Mabey Atari feels bad for putting out a S***ty expansion pack so they are going to give us a BIG ten dollars off :)!!

Or maybe they figured no one would be willing to pay $30 for a bunch of themeing elements apparently designed to no scale at all with no rides.

Okay Okay what I really want to know is what ever happened to the good expansion packs like Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes. Those were really GOOD expansion packs with new rides, roller coasters, and scenery. Nobody complained about either of those. Why are they coming out with this WW scenery crap? Why don't they just make em like the other expansion packs in the first RCT.
Did anybody notice that this game is only $20. Maybe there expecting this to be crappy so they'll charge less since WW was a flop
