Time Needed For Kennywood

Okay, so I just found out that I will be passing through Pittsburg this summer, and may be able to make a stop at Kennywood. My question is, How long do I need, on a Thursday or Friday in August, to do Kennywood. When I say "do", I mean ride all the coasters at least once. Thanks alot.
I would guess about 1 day, but if you can stay longer, go for it. There are so many great rides at that park, it's realy good.

Spend the whole day if you can. Night rides on Phantom's Revenge are really great.
Spend the day if you can, but you can probably get all 5 coasters in under 4 hours if you HAVE to.

Well, would I be able to do it in 3 hours?

3 hours would certainly be pushing it, and you would miss the many great older flat rides that Kennywood has. One of Kennywood's attractions is that it is almost an operating museum for great old rides.

Possibly. The real problem is that Phantom's Revenge is only running one train. I suppose if you did it when the park opens, then head to The Exterminator you could pull it off.

Without upstops, airtime would have a whole new meaning.

Frankly, I would be lucky if I got to go at all. So, If I can go for any amount of time, it would be cool with me... Even if I wasn't able to hit everything. The main reason for me wanting to go there is for the classic woodies and of course PR.

If you go on the Thursday it should only take one day because the crowds will be light.

I was just there on Friday the 22nd and the crowds were non-existant until the evening. Phantom's Revenge, Exterminator and The Racer were one train waits all day until the crowds started in and even then we only saw 3 or 4 train waits on PR. Jackrabbit usually has longer lines and the Thunderbolt can get long lines but it wasn't yet open last Friday.

We did all 4 operating coasters at least 3 times each in 9 hours along with riding all the other major rides at the park.
On a Thursday you could almost definetly do all 5 coasters in 3 hours. As someone else said, make sure you hit Phantom's Revenge and Exterminator early - these lines are always the longest.

Another thing: if you are only going to be there for a short period of time and plan on only riding the coasters you should probably just buy a general admission, then purchase ride tickets once you get inside the park. This would save you a lot of money.

Have fun!

Okay, another question, let's say I am forced to do it in 3 hours, and can't get all the coasters in... Which should I do for sure, and which can I skip.

DO FOR SURE:
Phantom's Revenge, Aero 360, and Thunderbolt.

SKIP:
Whatever you want!

"Welcome back Raptor riders. How was your flight?"
Here is the order I would do:
Phantom's Revenge
Thunderbolt
Exterminator
Aero 360 (not a coaster but an awesome flat ride)
Racer*
Jack Rabbit *

*The last 2 are interchangeable.

I planning a trip out to Kennywood Park near the end of August. I'm still wondering if I wan't to drive an extra four hours from Cedar Point is it worth it? Could someone give me some details on the park.

This shouldn't be a problem by August. I would think they should have the second train running by then.

Christ how do you kids do it
From my experience at Kennywood on the weekdays, if you can get there as soon as the park opens, you can probably ride all five major coasters, along with Aero 360, within the first two hours of the day.

(Note: There's a chance I've just been incredibly lucky, and also, I haven't been there since Phantom's Revenge opened [Ugh!])
