Time for a Mindbender LOVE Thread!

After last weekends awesome night ERT session on Mindbender at SFOG, I just can't stop thinking about how great this ride is. It has everything that you could ever want in a coaster: ejector airtime, intense positive g's, very smooth tracking, and no OTSR's!

I think the only "bad" thing about this ride is that the g's are so intense in the third "loop" that you can get stapled if you aren't paying attention. Please, share the love of one of the best Schwartzkophs ever: Mindbender!

MindBender was the coaster that made me start to hate coasters back in 96 but now I love it! I had my 1st front seat ride last Sunday and it was awesome!

I havent been to SFOG in about 10 years but I do know one thing: I MISS MINDBENDER!!!!

Yes, I meant to shout that. :)

I love Mindbender. It is a smooth intense ride that doesn't just rely on the inversions it has.

All who think Mean Streak needs a match taken to it say I.

Mindbender at SFOG is on my most wanted coaster list.

I have ridden Shockwave at SFOT and absolutely love that ride. The loops are amazing (you can actually feel forces in them) and the ejector air is awesome. I know Mindbender will deliver the same great ride - but it's that second "loop" on Mindbender that makes me want to ride it so bad.

I have been told I am crazy because Mindbender ranks above MF, X, and many others in my most wanted list. I guess it shows my age.

I've got to share the love for that third loop. I've never had my arms so forcefullably slammed down on a coaster before. I rode this for the second time at Spring Fling last weekend and really found a new appreciation for it.

I've gotta show some love for the Mindbender it's the ride that got me hooked on coasters 4 short years ago. In a nice twist the second year I worked at SFoG in 2001 I was the foreman of the Mindbender.

Coaster Count: 69

Mindbender has eluded me as an employee on one key gem: the trimless ride. This is my goal to do this year somehow as I've heard that "once you ride it trimless, every other ride on it is a letdown". Knowing how good it is with them on, I cannot wait.

"Press down, pull up, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Six Flags over Georgia as we celebrate 30 years of operation at the Great American Scream Machine."

Chris: I've heard that sometimes the trims just don't seem to catch on Mindbender every now and then. This is from a long-time local of SFOG, so I don't think he'd me making it up. From the burning smell that comes off those trims, I could only imagine how intense the g's would be pulling out of that final loop and going through the tunnel and turnaround by the Batman queue. I wish the 1st trim came a little later on that turn so that it wouldn't interrupt the 1st burst of air so much. Too bad they didn't do a 25 hour marathon on Mindbender for it's 25th anniversary this year!

I have to agree, Mindbender was my first coaster when I was 5 years old and still is definately one of my favorites. Of course when I was 5, I wasn't strong enough to hold my head against the seat and the g's on the loops made my neck hurt. But now I have rode the Mindbender more than any other ride at the park (10 times last Sunday) and is my second favorite at the park behind S:UF. Gotta love the lap-bars.
After visiting SFoG for my first time recently, I just had to post in this thread...I think Mindbender is one of most underrated coasters out there, or least talked-about if nothing else. Crushing g's, total smoothness, and that awesome horizontal loop make this ride just amazing. Anyone else think it would fit in perfectly at HW?;)

It *would*, but why not take Revolution instead....not like SFMM is doing anything good with it anyway....;) Nope, this one's staying put, esp. after losing Viper...

I think Mindbender is SFOG's signature coaster. In a park that specializes in intense rides, this is definately the crown jewel. :)

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

Absolutely LOVE Mindbender. My favorite coaster in the park. My only complaint is that it ends too soon.
OMG!!!This is the coaster that made me love coasters...Great theming/landscaping and design. I love mindbender.
Yeah, good point Gator...I can imagine Revolution speeding through the backwoods of Southern Indiana...with lapbars only, and trimless. Ohhh, yeah.:)
