Time for a love note! To: Cornball Express

MWB, wish I was you.....the first time on CE is addictive as can be....you WILL love it, guaranteed....

'Moosh, ONLY 29 spots.....why WE got the "substandard" rides on Timbers I'll never know, but I'd rather go to IB 100 times before heading back to MiA...CE is better than THAT good...amazing! Just looking at it run is even misleading, you gotta be IN the train to truly appreciate what it does.....all my favorite wood is in IN/PA....

Gator - I don't know, either. Timbers was fun, but not "all that." Few woodies have blown me away on the VERY FIRST RIDE. Cornball did. So did Raven. And Legend, Coney Cyclone, Ghostrider, Playland's Coaster, Boulderdash, and Conneaut's Blue Streak.

I don't want to turn this into a Timbers hate thread, but Timbers did NOT blow me away on any of the rides I had.

Viva la Express!

Right, you don't want to turn this into a Timbers hate thread... ;)

Actually, my ST rides this year were pretty "uninspired" compared to last, so I know where you're coming from now.

Be careful, chris...or I'll have my goonies [Nasai, Bass, and Flare] rough you up a bit at Playland ;-)

Don't worry, I've been warned about what will happen to me if I don't "cooperate." :)

When I first heard about Cornball, I thought it sounded pretty cheesy (I was just going by the name). But now that I've ridden it, I love it! I'm happy that I only live 45 minutes away so I can get my fix.

actually, I "might" be heading back to SoCal while X is still running, so I can get all the "crap wood" I want while I'm there....who knows, GR may climb back up a few notches....but it'll never again go as high as it was before I got a hold of that ride in Northern Indiana.....with each passing day, Cornball and Phoenix become more equals....awesome....

Oooh, you lucky dog! You get to ride the "it's so bad it's good" coaster: Psyclone. :)

Seriously, you'll be very happy if you get out there to ride X. I doubt you'll be dissapointed.

chris - Bummed cuz Indiana Beach is only open five more days this summer, and I doubt that I'll make it back.

Unless of course you can get into one of the private parties going on in September. :)

Ric Flair was hitting on the female host, he told her - "Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park, but it has the longest line." WOOOOO!

Well, I'm no coaster VIP.

Cornball? Is there a ride anywhere with more fun per foot of lumber? Of course the steel supports probably give it an unfair advantage in that kind of measurement. How many Cornballs could be built using Mean Streak's lumber? The only problem I have with it is climbing over or under the railing to avoid going all the way down and up those stairs over and over again.

Jip - In what direction? I live about 45 minutes north of IB.

By the way, I too love Cornball! In the very begining, I wasn't too sure about it, the layout and everything didn't seem to be exciting and it appeared that you would drag through the whole ride. Wow, it's totally the opposite. I'm going one last time this weekend to get a few more rides before the park closes up for the season!

It's incredible. It seems like the park just opened and now it's closing! These seasons go by fast.

GlitchCam Returns...if you thought the Subdivision Cam was something, wait untill you see this.
According to the general public, lots of coasters go straight down.

Hey, I love how you can hop the rail to get back into line. Even if you go all the way down the stairs it is still not that far. Look at how distant the exit is from the entrace on other rides; Mean Streak for instance. You spend most of your time walking around it.

ah, but Wabash, us "flatlanders" can't do all those steps....definitely the worst part about IB was all the climbing....felt like I was on a stairmaster all day....

But the precious CE made it all worth it....:)

Comming to Video........The Cornball Workout. See nubile cuties and studly studs dashing up and down the stairs. Cringe in terror as you see the 'before' shots of AllyouCanEaters straining defensless spandex while being tossed about by CE without mercy. Watch as their laughter and screams of joy burn away calories and therefore pounds.

The Cornball Workout...$29.95vhs 39.95dvd

boblogone - LOL!

All those steps will make you think twice about smoking, too.

Well...unless one has to use the bathroom, you only need climb those stairs once. If there's no line its quite easy to just duck under the handrail and get back in line to reride.

Moosh - who wonders if the GP "gets" CE like we do or if they just look at Hurricane and say "its bigger, so it must be better" ????

Coming to IB in '03...ESCALATORS!

'moosh - That was the case at the beginning of last year, but on all six of my visits this year CE has always had the longer line. I haven't heard the "I like the big one better" type of stuff at all this year.

gator - If you think all those stairs at IB are bad, wait until you go to Big Chief's. Zeus' station has just as many stairs to climb, but there's a bonus: You have to hike up a hill to get to them!

chris - Who waited 25 minutes for CE, and walked on HH his last visit.

During my last visit I also found HH line to be walk on most the time, while there would be a good 5 minute wait at most for CE most the time.
