Timbersfest - where to stay?

Looking for reccomendations on motels near MIA, the closer to the park the better - thanks.
I've stayed a the Comfort Inn and at a Best Western. The BW was north of the park. Both were nice, but it was hard to get a good rate. We also stayed at another hotel, forgot which one. There were two hotels there but neither was very nice and it seemed like a not very good area. I think it was near a Red Lobster. Maybe someone from the area has more details.

There's nothing really close to the park, but that's not really an issue. The area around the park isn't really built up or that difficult to navigate.

Anything in the Muskegon area is within 15min or so of the park. Grand Haven, to the south, would be ~30-35min. GH is the more tourist-oriented town, and as such will be pricier but with higher-class accomodations.

Within a couple of miles? I'm not sure. There's a campground about a mile away, if that's your thing. The park has a list of hotels on their website.
