Timbersfest

I'm going to Timbers Fest this year at Michigan's Adventure and wonder if anyone can give me some hotel suggestions. I've checked out lodging from the MI Adventure website and have a list. If anyone has a recommendation, I'd appreciate it.

I don' tknow where you're coming from, but I've noticed that there a bunch of hotels on 196 all the way from the Indiana border up to Muskegon. Most appear to be the Day's Inn - Motel 6 varieties. I can't recommend any, as we usually just make a day trip of it from Chicago and haven't stayed over before.

Depends on how close you want to be to the park. If you're looking for something nice close to the lake, but a bit of a drive(20 minutes) to the park, we have a nice Holiday Inn right here in Spring Lake. It's right on the river only 1 mile from lake michigan. Plus you could follow my wife and I to the park if you wanted, we are just a few minutes from the hotel. Other than that, there are a few hotels on Seaway Drive on the south side of Muskegon that seem to always have vacancies. Quality Inn, Super 8 and one other one there. They are only about 10-15 minutes away(depends on traffic). If you want to be real close, then there is pretty much slim pickins around there. Email me if you have some specific questions about additional activities if you plan to make it a mini-vacation type deally.

We don't need to be really close to the park. We took a day trip there last year when the hubby had a dragrace in Stanton. Thanks for the info. Holiday Inn, Quality Inn and Super 8 all sound fine. I assumed the pickin's would be slim near the park, so I figured we'd be closer to Muskegon. It's been a long while since we've vacationed there, and we always stayed at the campground on Lake Michigan. I have no desire to spend an entire day at the park and then sleep on the ground. :)

Does anybody know the last day for timbersfest pre-registration?
