Timberhawk POV Video

I posted a complete POV video of Timberhawk on my website if anyone would like to see it. The ride is a fun, family woodie but there isn't much airtime. I hope that changes as the ride works in some. It is probably the smoothest woodie I've ever ridden. Let me know what you think of the video.

Great Video. The ride looks pretty fun, but its not a woodie if theres no airtime.

I meant to comment a few days ago, Aaron. Nice job on that. You held the camera so well through all those twists and that wild air. ;) Seriously, it is a very good video. The only thing it really doesn't show is that 5th drop before the fan turn. You don't get the sensation that the drop provides. Still, how can a video supply sensation? Again, good job!

Hair Metal? I think not. - Click it, or lose it. ;)
I'm hoping to get a wide-angle lens for my camera pretty soon. That should make it a lot easier to get better overall views while filming from on-ride. Thanks for your comments.

It sounds good to me, Aaron. Looking forward to a POV on Coaster... that is, if you can hold on to the camera. ;)

Resolution might have been higher, but it's a great video !
I like the zigzag near the end of the ride, looks fun :)

Roarrrr...

Very nice video. That flat stretch at the end must really kill the ride.

I actually got some really great POV of Coaster at the birthday party in April. It was from the front seat. I'm not exactly sure how it turned out so good, but it was great.

I guess I was asking if you got POV from the back seat. Still, I would love to see it. Can you post it?

Hello,

I tried three different computers, and WMP AND QT and wasn't able to view this clip.

I have no idea why; but it seems a problem with the source.

I finally rode Timberhawk on 6-16-03. While it wasn't a bad ride,it wasn't anything outstanding IMO. From what I see,if more of the drops were extended to the ground and another drop added in the stretch of track going to the brake run, this would be a more thrilling coaster. Not the type of ride I would expect from Stan Checketts. Still, all criticisms aside, this was a fun family coaster and I am glad to have another coaster here in the PNW.

I too was not able to view the POV on my computer. My computer seems to have a problem with sites hosted by Lycos.

I had probs downloading the entire video. It would only show part, basically to the first drop. At work, however, I was able to watch the entire ride streaming, so it beats me... ;)

I don't know what the problem with the video would be. I have downloaded it a couple of times to make sure it worked and it worked fine. I originally had uploaded the wrong .mpeg file so it only showed 12 seconds worth. I fixed that a couple of days later, so if you haven't tried downloading it for a while you could try it again. Some people have had no problems and others can't get it to work. I don't know. Both of these coasters will be available on a video I'm putting out at the end of the year. So far I'm pretty happy with the video and these 2 coasters are probably my favorite of the 12 coasters I've done so far.
