As of today, Monday, March 23rd, I stopped by Enchanted Village to see the current level of construction. They have completed the first turnaround, and are working on the brake run under the first turnaround, as well as the climb coming out of the bottom of the first drop. The lift hill has yet to even be started, but looking at the ground, you can see where it's going to cross over the existing track. I can tell you that the drop is going to be mindboggling. The pull out is just crazy, from what I can see, and it is just LOADED with headchoppers. The entire track from the bottom to the top of the first turnaround is beam after beam. The second turnaround is also complete, and is very wide and sweeping, probably to add a counterpoint to the very very tight first turnaround. It's gonna be amazing stuff when they get it done. Now, if we can just get them to plant some grass and new trees after it's done. There are trees surrounding the ride, but only 2 left in the middle, so this won't be another Raven. That said, it looks absolutely incredible, and for a twister, looks downright airfilled! :)

Well, as of today, April 28th, Timberhawk is looking even more thrilling! I took a jaunt through the woods bordering the ride to see what was new, and of course secretly hoping somebody would offer a tour. They didn't, but I was able to see more of the ride. I think the ride will be much easier to see from the western side, but without the park open, the east will have to do. The lift hill is being put together in large pieces on the ground. They will be lifting them into place as they come along. The majority of the ride is complete, as Aaron said, probably 75% of it. It's a darn impressive ride as it stands. The first drop more closely mirrors Ghostriders than Roar. The top of the lift hill is done, and they turnaround at the top is well on it's way to being complete. What really remains is the drop, the lift hill, and the station. The rest is tracked. There are a few areas around the corners that need additional bracing, but that is touch up stuff. Again, this looks to be a nice, shortish(!), twister, with some good pops of air... mostly at the top of the first turnaround, and through said same turnaround, as there are two bunny hops before the second drop. It's gonna be fab! :)

I don't take offense to idiots. I am an idiot. Hear me roar.
Thanks for the update. I won't be going down there again until opening day (May 18th). I should be able to get some good pictures then from the other side of the coaster.
