Timber Terrors/Tremors...

I've never really heard anyone say anything about these two CCI woodies, that, to me, look amazing. So, how are they?
Amazing. :)

Seriously. Look here.

In additon to the excellent trip report Dave linked you to there were several trip reports posted after the Coaster Alley Convergence event at Silverwood last year. I'm sure if you do a search you'll find some answers. From what I've heard they're excellent!

They are both indeed excellent, and are radically different rides. TT is a true out and back, while Tremors is a very brutal twister. Both have amazing attributes, and both please equally in my book. That said, it depends on your mood to which one performs better, and of course being wood, they are tempermental. Still, I have yet to have a bad ride on them, as Silverwood does indeed treat them well. As far as Silverwood not getting a lot of advertising... tell me about it! I have lived here in Seattle since '93, and I didn't know Silverwood even existed until '99. :( I made the immediate trek over, and the whole NW landscape (coaster-wise) changed for me. For the better. What great rides.

Both Timber Terror and Tremors are great rides, although I am partial to TT because it has more airtime. IMO the only coaster I have ridden that I rate higher than Timber Terror is the PNE Coaster, which should not be a surprise to anyone who knows me.

Meet me at the PNE on April 17,2003. Happy 45th birthday,Coaster!

Wow, that's high praise.

They both rock hard! And in an exellent location, I might add. It's hard to get to, but worth the trip. Here's my Trip Report from last year's Coaster Alley Convergence enthusiast event:

Tremors and Timber Terror are my #1 and #2 woodies respectively. They are both absolutely amazing rides. Timber Terror is the PERFECT out-and-back coaster. The airtime is amazing. Sitting in the front seat, I once counted 5 seconds of airtime going up the double up and back down the other side. Tremors is an amazing twister with the best start of any coaster I've been on. Every time I go to Silverwood I have a hard time deciding which one I like better, but I end up giving Tremors the edge because it is so unique. Definitely great coasters and WAY ahead of the PNE Coaster. ;)

Sacrilege, Aaron! ;) They are very very good, though. Bass, thanks for the reminder of your TR. That is by far the best TR I have ever had the pleasure of reading. It was so darn fun and informative. Rock on!

Well Rob, we CAN dig here in FL, but it just turns into a pond, lake, catch basin, drainage ditch, whatever....if I really want to hit the *underground*, I need to go somewhere a little further from the water line....I think Idaho *should* meet that requirement....

I'll see ya at SRM, but right now I'm thinking about sandworms...;)
