Thursday night's downtime

I apologize for the downtime Thursday night. I have been planning some server changes and decided to just do it, even if it meant you'd go without for awhile. I can't do it this weekend because of another wedding, and I'll be too drunk to handle CD's and mice. All is well now though, and I suspect reliability and performance will be greatly improved.

I'm glad I saw this post, I tried logging on while waiting for my gf to get online last night while it was down - got pissed I couldn't log in and restarted my computer 2 or 3 times before I just gave up =) Oh well, AT&T got the swearing, not the site last night ;)

Jeff you had me scared there for a moment... I don't post often, but i'm usually here reading 3 - 4 times a day... Yesterday I needed my fix, heck there's nothing more for me to do here in Birmingham, Alabama and since there is currently no real vision for Visionland well I get to vicariously live through everyone here. I sure do miss living in Columbus, Ohio. Keep up the good work!

I was in a hotel wen the site was down. I payed 12 bucks to use the Internet in my room to surf the buzz. I was pretty mad but I'm going to Lagoon today so its cool :).

Thanks for keeping us "Buzz folk" informed on the status of this great site,I was oh so scared last night when I logged on only to find the site down and I wasn't able to access all the great & wonderful info that our members post.

For a moment there I thought I was going to lose my account and have to register all over again,it's happened on a number of sites that I've signed up for lately,but thank god and Jeff that it didn't happen this time.

The 'Buzz is my homepage so it was kinda annoying everytime I opened up Internet Explorer last night. I understand the need to make those server upgrades though. Glad everything went through without a hitch Jeff.

The short story is, my current landlord is an absolute irresponsible flake who doesn't know her elbow from her behind, so I'm moving. She then complicated it by signing a new lease with new tenants for this Saturday, giving me a grand total of *3 days* notice even though I'd already paid her for August. There could be a court date coming out of this one...

hunter11 (or anyone else)......we've tried the hotel Internet (LodgeNet) before, and it SUCKED...the browser they have installed wouldn't even let us get thru to hotmail, there was no real mouse/pointer, horrendously slow, etc.)......has anyone had any hotel web access success (glad I don't have to say that 3 times)....;)

Dangit! You're telling me I missed the downtime last night!? Jeeze, and to think I was outside riding coasters all day at Cedar Point...can't believe I missed it. Sorry for the sarcasm. :)
