Thunderhead TV Commercial

Anyone seen the Thunderhead commercial yet? I just saw it this evening for the first time. It was on WUXP UPN 30/Nashville 10:15PM, between Andy Griffith. :) Pretty neat commercial with all on & off ride footage, and a final wide angle shot at the end showing half of the layout with it's train running. Says something to the effect of the ride never letting up.

Any "wildest ride in the woods" verbage in the commercial?

JW

I wonder where they would get verbage like that... (rolling eyes) I would imagine that it is only a matter of time before SDC gets a Thunderhead Gap. It would almost have to go off the square behind all the homesteads if they want to expand anymore that way. The other side of the park is pretty much blocked by the entrance road and then you have Rt 76 past the Waterboggan and FITH.

Heh. It came on again a little later too, between Andy Griffith.
I'm just glad it didn't ask 'Can you tame the Thunder?'.

BTW, how about a Mayberry reunion at Gaylord Opryland! LOL.

It better than 'There's thunder down under' or 'Thunder is rumplin' in the smokies' or something not at all related to the ride. Haha.

SDC has upgraded, the new ride isn't the wildest ride in the woods, it's a blast in the wilderness.

The Ozark Wildcat, voted #26 wood coaster, the higest rated new wooden coaster since 2001.

I still think Dolly herself should ride Thunderhead.

I agree.

LMAO, I can see Dolly on it right now! *walks away chuckling*

Pardon our dust...Signature is building for your future enjoyment!

I've seen the the commercial about 7 times now, including during one of the main network's 6AM news, and three times in less than two hours on Fox during prime time programming. Looks like DW is doing a great job promoting Thunderhead. Expect long lines.
Hm. They actually showed the commercial all the way down here in South Carolina. I've never seen those kinds of trains on a wooden coaster. They look nice.

I've seen it a few times on WBTV out of Charlotte. There's also been several Pigeon Forge commercials that feature Dollywood.

I do think that TT got a little more publicity, but Dollywood does seem to have an extensive campaign backing Thunderhead!
