Question for you Atlantans....Joe, Tommy, James, Shondells...;)

Any of you heading up to CoasterStorm on the 17th? I want to go, but I'm unsure of whether to drive or fly or what? Send me a PM or something, I need to regaster ASAP.

I don;t think Homey's goin' cause he's a wuss...;)

FLY from Atlanta to the Dollywood area? You may as well drive. It's only 3-ish hours (or 4-ish, depending on your exact starting location). You can't get to the airport, get checked in, land in Knoxville or TRI, rent a car, and get to the park in that amount of time.
flight time is 30 approx. mins via Delta Connection or American Eagle from Atlanta Hartsfield. *** Edited 4/4/2004 3:37:34 AM UTC by CoastermanX***

Ah, but xrae...I'm starting 5 hours SOUTH of Atlanta...so you see, the decision isn't as easy as it might otherwise seem, LOL...

I'm on the fence, and COULD fly or drive, depending...

Well then, five hours south of Atlanta is a different story alltogether. But you'll likely not find a direct flight from your local airport.

TYS airport near Alcoa serves the Knoxville area and is the closest to Dollywood. TRI is also an option, about 90 minutes away, as is AVL, which may be a little further out. TYS probably has the best fares from where you are, but you know how airline pricing goes, never assume anything.

It *is* a very nice time of year for a drive through the mountains!
