Heres a video of the new Thunderbolt reborn at Luna park in Coney for 2014.
Whoever did the animation for this video did a below-average job. The animation of the ride was jerky, and I don't think that was intended.
I find the naming odd as I expected this to be a wooden coaster. The only similarity between the original and the 'reborn' is that it is a roller coaster.
I'm sheriff of this here rollercoaster.
Well, that's interesting. Certainly one of the oddest promo videos I've seen in a while. I don't think I've ever seen one that depicts its ride as anything but smooth, smooth, smooth. This depiction seems like advance notice of extreme roughness!
I've noticed more than once that Zamperla, while a fine amusement ride manufacturer, is almost laughable in its promotional material. Maybe it's lost in translation or something.
What an odd lift system, right? Looks scary.
And Coney, what's up with constantly pulling out names from the past to attach to your new rides? Clearly, this ride has nothing to do with the Thunderbolt many New Yorkers will undoubtedly remember. Stop, already.
It kind of reminds me of Cedar Point's new ride for next year!

Lost Kause, can I give that a double vote up? Maybe I should give it a triple. That 10 seconds of laughter made my day.
I knew nothing of this. I'm a bad enthusiass.
This actually looks appealing to me, especially that lift. As someone mentioned above, when I saw the name, I thought, WOOO!! New wood. I like its placement next to the Cyclones' stadium.
Best thing about the video? Debbie Harry, baby!!!
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

Gonch, I don't have your mind indexing abilities but mark this post for next year.
Don't count on this opening on time. Complicated lifts are just asking for trouble.

I think that the reason the animation in the first link is crappy is because it is fake. That looks nothing like this article is depicting the ride to look like. Or not... Now I am confused.
What's with the shaky camera in the animation. Is that a special effect for the "MTV" generation?

The layout looks a lot like the first half of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal.
