I've heard a few people say that Thunderbolt (my 2nd fav woodie) at Kennywood is still down due to PR construction and such. I'm 95% sure I'm going to Kennywod monday and I would like to know if the ride is up or still down. I'm going with my family so I want my dad to experience this awesome coaster.

It is still pretty torn up, and will probably not open until mid-July.

I thought the park said it would be open a week after opening day? Must've been wrong.

I guess I must have missed this, what happened to Thunderbolt? I was thinking about going there in a couple of weeks and does anyone know whether it's going to be open or not?
Is Thunderbolt still open, I will be going to Kennywoood in August to try the Phantoms Revenge, also I will be going on thunderbolt. Question I would like to know what the ride is like on Thunderbolt and Phantoms Revenge.
I called the park last night, they said that their goal is to have it open early next month.

The Bolt was partially dismantled for Phantom construction.
Since they couldn't start Bolt reconstruction until after PR was completed, obviously, it will take time.
Then, there is testing, which I assume will be lengthier than normal because of all the new track.
Based on what I saw last week, I would leave it closed in ALL of 2001, let the GP grace PR, and reopen it grandly in 2002.
I was at Kennywood on June 5th, and one of the ride ops on Phantom's Revenge told me that it probably wouldn't be open until August.
