Thunder Falls, Mackinaw City

I don't know if any of you remember rumors from a couple of years ago that a brand new water park was being built in Mackinaw City. Anyway, I live near Mackinaw City and was over there last night. I thought I would let you know that the clearing of the area has been finished and there are now lots of colorful pieces of water slides on the site. The water park does have an internet site up now. It is www.thunderfallswaterpark.com. Anyway, I just thought I would let you know.

Looks like a good idea to add a family attraction like this. I just hope the budget for this park is figured with cold nights and a shortened summer seeing how it isn't an indoor park like the one in Traverse City.

This will be interesting to go check out if I get up to my old stomping grounds this summer (born and raised in Emmet County, for those of you who might know the area). I'll definately have a look-see. *** Edited 2/15/2004 1:40:06 PM UTC by CrystalKat***
