Thunder Eagle @ Pigeon Forge

I don't know if anyone ever said anything about this coaster, but here goes. Thunder Eagle was/is located on the main strip in Pigeon Forge at what was once Race World. I never got the chance to ride it...was it any good?

It looked like a pretty decent woodie. I remember being in front of it in December '02 thinking, "What a waste!". But according to RCDB it has relocated to Mont Saint Sauveur, (it's a ski resort near Quebec, Canada), and is set to open there in 2005.

Just wondering if anyone knows more about it!

Most, if not all, reports of the ride experience fell into the "fun but little to no airtime" category.
It was small had some good laterals, but absolutely no airtime (like Moosh said.) It wasn't really worth the $5 that I paid for it! To be honest, SDGC@PC was actually a more intense ride!!

It was pretty much an oversized Beastie.

I heard it was based upon an old PTC design- perhaps an enlarged version of PTC's junior coaster design?
I rode Thunder Eagle about 45 times in a row and managed, barely, to stay awake.

In retrospect, I'm not sure why I couldn't find something more exciting to do.

It was smooth as glass, no forces, hardly if any airtime, it might as well have been made of steel. Just a genuine piece of crap. Plus....it cost $5 per ride!!!

Not to mention, when I rode it, my wife and I literally were the only customers on the property, inside or out, and yet they wouldn't give me a double ride. What's up with that?

Same with me. Race World sucked. The NEW Belle Island Development look pretty good so far.http://www.belleisland.com
