Thrillville SUCKS on so many levels.
Uncle Mortimer is a stupid idea and a waste of code.
I played this crap on a 52" flat screen and got clausterphobic from the poor viewing ability. There is no ability to get a decent ariel view to realy get a perspective of what you're tring to do. Paning is horrible, navagation was okay. The menus are just awful.
Talking to the general public is not a bad idea. But to try and become their buddy, then play matchmaker, or play games against them to earn more money was not necessary at all.
I'll play the Sims for that crap.
Having pre-designated "building zones" and pre-located loading stations for coasters took any fun out of the design process. Despite the fact it always seem that you need a shoe horn to get anything to fit. Too much space required to put in food stalls and shops. Not enough for the actual rides.
The last straw was when I tried to put in a runaway train in an old west themed area. I was allowed to only go one way which meant the lift hill was between a cliff and a small building that couldn't be moved, leading the track straight into another building that couldn't be moved or avoided. Stupid, stupid, stupid. That's when I pulled the plug.
The only real fun came from the carny games alone. Package that up by itself and it would be enough for me. The rest is just rotten awful.
And to that guy who started the Thrillville thread earlier claiming to have a hand in the creation or marketing or whatever of this polished turd. Asking for our opinion. Go back and try again...beter yet, dont!
My copy is going to Gamestop to get some restitution from this. And I'm sticking with my RCT-2 *** Edited 2/25/2007 5:34:20 AM UTC by WildThingNative*** *** Edited 2/25/2007 5:41:55 AM UTC by WildThingNative*** *** Edited 2/25/2007 5:43:23 AM UTC by WildThingNative***
Thanks for another great season, VF!

There are two types of people in the world. People who like coasters and idiots.
