Thrillride Book

Robert Coker is releasing a book or guide if you will, on coasters. Looks good, lots of color photos and such. Its at thrillride.com.

When I first saw the "Spring 2002" memo on the old Thrillride! site, I thought (foolishly) that the site was coming back on line. Too bad - I found Thrillride! to be the most comprehensive and unbiased rollercoaster overview on the internet.

Rob's book may actually be worth buying. Hey, if I approve of it, it must be a good thing.

Well, as much as I recognize that Bob knew what he was talking about when he was running the site, I'm not too sure about the book...after all, his cover photo IS Windjammer.......

I'm surprised at the cover photo as well, but aside from that, I'm happy for him. I always held his writing in the highest regard and wish him the best.

Yeah, I always liked the way Robert descibed a coaster ride. I could actually feel myself riding it! The cover surprised me as well! Windjammer? Oh well, I know you can put my name on the list for buying a copy. I'm sure it has some good info.

I almost wonder if putting Wind Jammer on the cover is sort of a quiet joke Coker is having with the rest of the enthusiast community. Just a thought

I'd buy it...I thought his coaster site was the best one there was...too bad it's gone. I also loved his ride reviews...and I remember making sure I could get on-line on Thurs. I think it was for Rumors/Random Notes...those were very good too.

Bob's ride reviews were the best! I can't wait to read this book. I'll admit that the cover photo choice might seem odd to us, but it's a great picture, and how many of the GP will know/care?
