Three parks in California

I just got word that my family and I are going to take a trip to California this summer, my first time. My dad told me that we can visit three parks. My question is what should I hit. Magic Mountion is almost a must, I have a paramount pass, I will probably have a cedar fair pass as well. But I didn't know if Knotts was worth it considering I'll have just hit TTD the month before and Xcelerator is basicly a smaller version. I'm not all sure what Great America has to offer other than stealth and TG. I have also heard California Adventure is good. So I just wanted to know, what are your favorite three in California?
Go to Knotts, if for no other reason than Ghostrider. It may be the best coaster in CA.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

I'll second the recommendation for Knott's. I had a blast doing power laps on Xcelerator, and I absolutely loved GhostRider. I don't know how lines will be for you (I went three weeks ago), but you should be able to do several laps on Xcel. For comparison, during my whole weekend there....

Xcelerator = Never more than 10 minutes
GhostRider = Average of 45 minutes +

I think quite a few folks are actually intimidated by Xcel's launch, thus the short lines.

Remember that if you're one in a million, that means that there are 5000 other people on Earth just like you.

I third the suggestiion for knotts if for no other reason than ghostfier is worth the price of admission. Wild, fast, out of control and with no brakes on it anywhere except for the end. Lines for Xcellerator are generally much shorter than ghostrider so you should be able to get plenty of laps.

I hope they kill that iron yuppie. Thinks he's so big. The great homer simspon

I've ridden a relatively small number of wooden coasters, but so far Ghostrider is the one I enjoyed the most. FWIW, I'm also looking forward to a return trip to SFMW to ride Zonga.
