Thoughts on the voyage.

Simplicity itself, it's hands up from the top of the lift until the second tunnel, hands on the grab bar after that so you get the best of both worlds.

The Voyage steps are just part of HW's exercise program for those who didn't listen to Paula and ate pizza for 90 straight minutes on Friday.

I loved the coaster this weekend and got around 20 rides in. The real late night rides were the best coaster rides I ever had, but I can't rate this coaster #1 solely on the night rides because that is not a typical ride.

I was riding with my hands up all night until the guy next to me smacked me upside the head

Also, from top of lift hill to finish I still find Avalanche the King of Relentlessness.

Overall it is not my top coaster but very close.

For the record I only prefer Cyclone, Phoenix and Avalanche over Voyage, but not by much. Can't wait to ride Balder and El Toro in the next month for comparison pruposes *** Edited 5/31/2006 8:29:40 PM UTC by larrygator***

Larrygator in your opinion if you had to take someone to ride a wooden coaster that was going to blow them away which coaster would you choose...Out of the ones you listed I took my sister on the Phoenix several years ago and she teases me today about taking her 7 hours to ride a "big kiddie coaster"...

Phoenix is a great coaster, but it dont come close to the crazy ride the vayage gives.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

One minor correction for Will K. Voyage isn't an "Out and back", it's a "Hell and back"

:)

For a few GLORIOUS minutes, I wasn't sure it was coming BACK from....there... ;)

But it is heaven for me! :) My greatest experience in my life last Saturday and that is a FACT! :)

It is a FACT that The Voyage is the greatest thing on the planet!!
Someone on Mitch's poll has ranked the coaster #16 which is crazy but #48????..I know everyone has an opinion but some opinions shouldn't be allowed to be expressed...Just kidding...But #48?????
Call me insane but there was a thead last night about negative opinions on Voyage and now its gone. WTF there was some great posts on that thread that wasnt on any others about Voyage. Is this internet censorship? *** Edited 6/2/2006 3:53:17 PM UTC by BG Nut***

I miss Drachen Fire

Did that other thread start to become a flame war? Maybe because I can't find anything negative about Voyage other than it's short season or hours.

It is a FACT that The Voyage is the greatest thing on the planet!!
The Voyage is as addictive as any drug, or sex for that matter. The more you get, the more you need. :)

Looks like they pulled the "negatives" thread when it should have just been locked. Maybe it got really ugly between the last time I saw it and now, but I still think we should be able to state a negative opinion if we want to. No one is perfect.

By the second night I felt like I had gotten used to the Voyage's intensity and could reride it easier then the first night. It's really a great intense ride that no other coaster comes close to touching.
