This was too funny not to share.

Now look, I don't advocate DOING this, but I just couldn't help myself but laugh at these pics.

For those that find their rollercoaster rides a bit lacking on the intellectual stimulation.

Yeah I'd love to get hit in the face by a chess board.

Hmm. I thought people who played chess were smart. So much for that myth.

If they play chess on coasters, what the hell do they do in the que lines? Play Risk or Monopoly?

I think that is awsome, now I am trying to figure out how to top that.

rollergator's avatar Chess is fun...coasters are fun.

Somehow I never thought of combining the two...

Is this just in case someone has the slightest doubt that these people are geeks? ;)

Which is exactly why this is more scary than funny.

Something like this is funny on the surface, but when it is tried to be "topped" is when the possibility of being injured happens.

Think about it. Getting hit with a chess board at 30mph with the pieces glued on.

It'll take your eye out! And I'm not even trying to be sarcastic.

Some of the responses to this thread are sad in so many ways ... and people wonder where stereotypes start. Hilarious link, the first one and the dude in the chopper are the best two.

Jeff's avatar The girl is cute, but come on, what is she, 14? Be careful if you don't want to give off that creepy child molestor vibe.

Personally, I think this is stupid.

browntggrr - you are right it can be dangerous, but if you worry about it too much, you may give yourself an ulser. ;)

Impulse-ive - some responses are sad indeed!

I'd rather be riding Roller Coasters....or baking.

While interesting, it is not worth the risk to do this. Cameras and "other loose items" while on a coaster is against the rules no matter what park you are at. They did not make those rules just to ruin people's fun, but to protect park guests from themselves

I suppose you could be right. She does look my 17 yr olds daughters friends mom. The woman is 40 and gets carded everywhere. They could be twins.

Am I the only one that truly believes those pictures are Photochops? Look at the first picture- I seriously doubt that chess pieces would stay in place like that on a soaking drop. The four people and the chess board also look a lot clearer than the people in the back of the boat.

If you read the cartoon, the pieces are glued/taped to the board. Look at the kids' hair in the front seat, it's blown to the side just like it would be if they were actually on that drop. No, it's kids with imagination, that's what it is.

It probably is, but if they really did do this they are just the most retarded people ever. Not because i think someone will get hurt, but because who honestly thinks lets get a picture with us playing chess on a roller coaster, that would be so cool. this is just lame
