Jolly Roger has had one heck of a lot of relocated rides Boy Howdy!

Rode it. Miss it.

While I saw it a couple of times in its second park, I never got the chance to ride it then.

Like Vater, I rode it at KD...my first inversion, and it scared the *stuff* outta me, LOL. As much as I'd like to return the Anton shuttle back to its original home, I'd REALLY like to see Rebel Yell returned to *its* former glory...and it was GLORIOUS...:)

No kidding. What the hell's happened to it in the last couple years? Retrack it, repaint it, and dare I say make the effort to actually dispatch the trains at the same time so they can race, for crying out loud. :-/
vater and Gator.....takin me on a trip down memory lane at my dear old PKD....

i was never tall enough to ride King Kobra....it was gone after 1986, and i was still a small fry, lol. but i watched it cycle many times, droolingly...(is that a word?)

and i second the notion about Rebel Yell, its needs some serious TLC...and while were at it...the water park should go entirely back in the woods. one of the worst mistakes that PKD ever made was draining Lake Charles. any old school KD'er here would agree with me i know...

that, my friends....was KD at its prime....

But Anaconda is SO much better than that old Anton shuttle...;)

Wow, I almost CHOKED trying to get that out...no one should EVER get rid of an Anton....they're not making any MORE ya know!

I do like Anaconda...but I agree, it can't compare to the ol' Kobra. Love that pic, Tim! Ugh...gettin' all emotional n' stuff. Sounds like the three of us need to get together and start an Anton/KD lover support group.

Self-admitted official emgee.

Rode it several times at Alton Towers in the 90s - still the all time 2nd best coaster at the park :)

You came to the states and you didn't notify me? Harumph!
You'll know fine when I come Moosh - you're organising the welcome party :)

I'm a little lost there Moosh. Am I the only one that didn't notice any coming in that post? Please do a reenactment. ;)

You lost me, Danny. I'm teasing Jim for not having told me he was in the states before he knew me. What kind of reenactment would I do?

So Hopi Hari's woodie caught my attention. Seems Summers old company is still doing stuff (then again it was built in 99).

I wonder how the woodie is...

Since when was Alton Towers located in the states Moosh? That's the part I was missing. ;)

D'oh...my bad ;)
Ahh that was my 2nd Anton Shuttle right after having ridden Laser Loop at KW in 1980. Good times! I love these old shuttle coasters. Thankfully SFKK installed Greezed Lightnin' just for me. ;-)

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

no one should EVER get rid of an Anton....they're not making any MORE ya know!

That's yet another one of my beefs with PGA. Parks in 3rd world countries can afford to keep these awesome first and second generation Anton shuttles operating. But a corporate conglomo like Paramount couldn't afford to keep PGA's operating for some reason, and insist the ride had to be removed (and not for anything new, the old site still sits vacant).
