this is what anoys me...tell me if you agree

With regard to correcting people who know nothing. It's not that they know nothing, it's that they try and make out to their friends that they know it all - that's what annoys me!

And yes! Why are these people always smoking in line? Don't they know that a cigarette started a fire in a park the UK, and killed 1,800 people!!!

"Nemesis" - You have been warned!
I've turned around and corrected somebody before, but that was at Coastermania, so they were a coaster enthusiast.

Usually, I just quietly make fun of them with my friends.
yeah I hear Crap like oh I heard this coaster is going to be torn down and my favorite, oh this coaster is 400 feet high! Or I heard this 1 came off the track once and this one has inversions but it really doesn't or when I was saying that magnum looks orangeand needs painted and some other kid says its supposed to be like that and I corrected him and said it was red when it opened!!!!!

I'm sorry to say, but Magnum originally WAS orange. There has been much debate over the color over at GTTP, but it has always been a DARK orange. I just bought "America's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills 3D, and they have Magnum on there. They have footage, and the POV from it's first year. It is definitely orange. There is another things to think about when thinking about the color, why would they build 2 coasters in a row with the same color? (Iron Dragon and Magnum)

Isn't Dark orange, red?

Anyway. I too want correct people just for informational reasons. I heard someone call "Corkscrew" "Blue Streak." As for terms and things like that, don't get all worked up over it. Just because someone gets a technical word wrong, shouldn't piss you off.

Hey Jeff
Yes the Orient Express also got stuck mid loop.
I think at the beginning of last season.

Why does the Magnum logo show red then? Iron Dragon is a DARK red anyway.I have a feeling it was truly red when it opened and I think it looks better red anyway and think of it being orange with silver supports, paint doesnt always turn out the exact color and maybe the paint they used on magnum wasn't the best quality and it easily faded into a reddish-orange, there are so many questions in the world that we can ask and this one is focusing magnum paint and I think it was red when it opened but it could have been orange and I think we could ask someone official like cedar point and I think I will ask them or sumthin and let everyone know. I'm sure they would be glad to tell us!

One time at Six Flags Great America Batman got stuck in the chain lift and I over heard this couple behind me in line for Iron Wolf. The woman kept on saying that she was not going on Batman because it got stuck upside down on the chain lift. Now that's stupidity but just let people believe whatever they want to believe because it's really not that important.
And it keeps her and hers out of line!

Not the orange/red debate again. IMO (which is not in the least bit H) Magnum was a red rollercoaster - not the same color red as Iron Dragon, but red regardless.

Who cares if they had two red rollercoasters in a row? Red is one of their major colors, you know?
