This coaster season: Good or Bad?

Personally, this coaster season was a good one for me! I went to six Flags Great Adventure... who always seems to amaze everyone with medusa.. and now Nitro! I am going again October 28..the last day. Well, good luck if you still plan on going to a park. I hope your season was good.

this was an excelleny coaster season, I finally go to go to SFMM and DCA. I had been eagerly awaiting the opening og DCA since I am a huge Disney fan, and I have always worshipped SFMM but  I had never gone there due to some inconveniences. This year i finally got to SFMM and it did not dissapoint me. I also went to my first ACE concention, the Coastercon at hershey and Dorney, which was a blast!! Plus i got to ride a lot of the new crop of Coasters for 2001: Vertical Velocity, Nitro, Deja Vu, California Screamin, Talon. Definitely some incredible coasters for 2001.
It was a good one for me..
I went to CP 5 times, PKI 3 times, and SFWoA once. Hopefully I'll end up going to CP again before the season is over, cause I've never been to Halloweekends, and I really want to go!

For me it was a good coaster season

SFWoA-B:KF, X-Flight, Villian, S:UE

CP-Mag, Raptor, MF, Mantis, MS

Kennywood-PR

PKD-V:BC, HyperXLC, FoF

BGW-AC, Alpie, LN, BBW

SFGAmer-RB, IW, AE, Shock, Viper

But for coasters in general i think it wasn't that great of a year, with the deaths and delays i think the bad out ways all the good.

Raging Bull, Don't Fight It, Ride It

I've had a great year.  In April I was in Japan, where I rode the tallest coaster in the world.   I also got to ride a Raptor clone, before ever riding Raptor!
Then, this summer, my wife and I went to CP for the first time.   Needless to say, it was phenomenal.   Now I can say I've been on the two tallest and fastest coasters in the world.
Third, we went to Silverwood in Idaho.  This park is relatively small, but with two great CCI woodies, and amazing charm, this park is a must if you're in the NW during their operating months.  I had never experienced CCI before, and with all the hype surrounding their designs over the last few years, it was going to be hard for them to surprise me....
Well, they surprised me.  I honestly have to say that Timber Terror was more fun for me than the Giga's I've experienced.   I can't wait to ride Ghostrider.
Next year, my wife and I want to make a cross-country road trip.  We'll start in Seattle (home sweet home), make our way down to the California parks, then head East-- through Texas-- and on to the Virginia/Florida area.  I'd love to be able to head up the East coast, as well, but.....that might require more money than I can print between now and then.

I had a great year also...

Joe Cool pass for CP I rode MF several times in 1 Hour on special Joe Cool Days. think I rode MF at least 30 times this year

SFWOA-   X~Flight.... Wow what a coaster I LOVE this machine !  yeah it had it share of problems..but it is one awsome ride

PKI - went there for my first time this summer. Loved beast ...the helix at the end is best . this coaster is definately in my top 5 coasters i ever rode. FOF = cool ! glad i never rode this coaster when it had the otsr 's  even with the special new lap bar i could see where the head banging would have been severe. SOB  eh.... it was ok..i thought beast was better..

I hope next year will even be better !

Roller coaster of Love ~ ooi ~ ooi ~ ooi

This season was really good for me because I was actually an "enthusiast." I went to four different parks: PKD, SFA, BGW, and Hersheypark. I think I added about 20 coasters to my track record and I hope to add much more next season.
Went to eight parks and added over thirty coasters to my track record.   I'd say thats pretty good.
This summer was nice. . .I visited a whole ton of new parks. . .well, new for me, anyway:

Dorney Park, SFNE, SFoG, Race World, CP, SF:WoA, and soon to be SFA.  I went to Rye Playland, too, but it was a Monday and they were closed :(

I added a very large number of coasters to my track record; so much, in fact, that I can't remember how many I had beforehand.

My favorite ride of the season: Superman: Ride of Steel and Villain

My favorite new ride of the year: Talon

23 different parks. 31 total visits. Two more visits - SFGAm to ride Deju Vu and closing day at CP. Maybe out to SFMM if they get X going.

I had a great year.

Now, if airfare drops like they're saying it might, 2002 will be even better.

So many coasters - so little time.

This season rcoked for me because I rode my first coaster :) !

movies+coasters= the most fun you could ever imagine!

hypersonic. need i say more?

Entrance admission: $38
Souveniers: $16
Riding Flight of Fear 7 times in a row: Priceless
Certainly my best year ever. I did not go to PKI yet (Nov 4, 2001) and having just got back from Stricker's Grove I must update my track record. Next year is a simple plan SFGA, HW, MA, SSKK, and after arriving at Indiana Beach on opening weekend this year, I promised myself not to miss another opening day. This year I spent every weekend of May there. Fortunatly the P.O.P was buy one get one through May. I'll probably go to Fun Spot also, since it isn't too far.
