There will be a third expansion pack for RCT2 released October 15th, which is tomorrow, Wednesday. It's unlike any other expansion pack though, it's called UCES: User Created Expansion Set. That's right - this expansion pack was actually created by fans. This has been a huge project in the RCT community - it was started in January. If you're thinking that this probably won't be that impressive... take a look at the specs:
Specs:
Scenarios: 15
Objects: 100+
Shops: 12+
Scenery Groups: 10+
Rides: 150+
Paths: 10+
It's free also. It will be up for download on Oct. 15th. There are some amazing features on this thing. It's incredible to see what these guys have done - it looks very professional. There's even a night mode! Here are some links to screenshots and the website:

So if these cause my computer or game to crash, will Infogrames/atari be able to help, or am I S.O.L?
Infogrames would have absolutely no reason to provide you support for something they didn't produce. You'd be on your own.

I'm kind of excited about the scenarios too. I loved the RCT scenarios, and enjoyed most of those that came with RCT2 as well. The WW ones sucked though, and I expect the TT ones will as well.
I'm not expecting this to be amazing, but hey, it's free and is worth at least checking out. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. :)

All the scenarios give an error the first time you load. Reboot RCT and load again and it'll be fine. Kind of akward.
The new rides are cute and all and would mix it up a bit if you do a lot of fantasy parks, but I really need to play a bit for a "real" impression. Initially, I don't really care. I personally have never been interested in user made custom rides. Heck, I rarely use the reskinned rides from WW.
Scenarios - Again this is first impression after looking at them all briefly, but it looks like a HUGE bust. Let me tell you why. They're too damn overthemed!!! That's exactly what got wrong with the scenarios in RCT2 and why the WW scenarios are the worst ever. They're little more than showoff for the new scenery. The original RCT scenarios had nice clean maps for the most part and they few that weren't still pulled it off. These scenarios look about as fun as a kick to the groin. Personal preference perhaps, but I say these scenarios were built so you initially open them and go "wow, that's purty" - then you play it and reality sets in.
The custom scenery looks nice enough, but if you DL my stuff you know I've never used custom scenery. It's just not something that interests me. I can see where some of the included items might be fun to try and play with and maybe even inspire a little creativity.
Overall - it's free so why not DL it? Maybe if I spend a little time with it, it'll grow on me, but initially I'm not impressed. I still say if you don't like WW, this is just a free, user created sort of the same thing - new scenery, reskinned rides and overethemed scenarios. At least it's free. I'll still be grabbing TT.

And if you were creative, you could theme the hell out of the original RCT.
And here's a second opinion on the new rides:
The reskinned ones are kind of cool as I said above. However upon looking a bit deeper, I've found ones that seem to simply be glorified objects set-up to be rides that are just flat out crap. The X-Wing theatre? The Toy Box?
I'm glad I downloaded for the abundance of scenery - it may give my RCT playing a kick in the butt (once I sort the useful from the horrible). Other than that, I'm not seeing much I like.
I hate to sound so negative, and I do appreciate the effort put forth by those who made it, but if this is supposed to be the alternative to the Atari add-ons, then I think they missed the boat. It looks exactly like an user-made version of what the official add-ons are.
Perhaps there is nowhere to go with the game until RCT3?
