Think You Could Design a Real Coaster?

It didn't take nowhere near that on my system. The DL is around 30MB and installed it uses around 89MB of space.

On an unrelated note, I tried working in RCT3 then importing the track file in the contest version of the game. Couldn't get it to show up.

It may be possible, I didn't play with it at all. I suspect it has to do with the fact that even the coaster options (train size, lift speed, number of trains, etc) are handicapped/limited/disabled in the contest version.

The bad thing is we can't really use that much creativity. If we go all out and build an amazing RCT3 coaster doesn't mean it would be a good real coaster. If it's really compact and twisty I doubt they would make it, I mean it could be an amazing RCT3 coaster but in real life, not plausable. (sp?)

i'm not sure what to put here..

Oh...then they used the minimum system requirements for the real game. Now I'm pissed lol. I spent like 30 minutes cleaning out my computer to make room.:(

Oh well, I guess my Harvard Scholarship, $100,000, and hugeass computer entertainment system should just about compensate. ;)

Oh you say that now but when I'm going through college you'll be eating your take 5 candy bar. ;)

One of the Soaked! features I can remember off the top of my head was that you could save scenery with a coaster. But in the version released for the contest, there was no scenery. The button was there but there was nothing to save.

Finnaly we can save scenery! you wouldn't think that you would need an expansion to do that.

You can't judge a book by it's cover but you can judge a coaster by the screams
From the contest website...

Entry of any submission further constitutes the entrant's (or their parent's or legal guardian's if an eligible minor) consent to irrevocably assign and transfer to the sponsor any all rights, title and interest in the entry, including, without limitation, all copyrights, trademarks and patents."

Submission deadline is January 31, 2006. Hersheypark's 100th Anniversary is 2007.

Thank you for your recent contact.

The stand alone RollerCoaster Designer has been designed especially for the "Free Ride To College" promotion. Coasters to be entered in the contest must be created using the stand alone RollerCoaster Designer. Coasters created using RCT3 or RCT3: Soaked will not be considered for the contest.

I was wondering, do you have to design your looping coaster to fit the needs of hershey park, IE:space, size, design. That sort of thing. Or is it just who can create the best coaster.

I have built my ride and saved the track in the demo, but I can't find the file when I try to submit it. I looked in the "track" folder of the RCT3 demo files, but I didn't see anything that could be my track.

Anyone know where the tracks are saved at?

Does it has to be a looping coaster? What about a hyper or jr hyper? Why would they use a track of an existing ride in the park?

It is a FACT that The Voyage is the greatest thing on the planet!!

There is no way to even know where to start because you don't know what Hershey is looking for. It could be anywhere from 80 to 200 ft. tall... it's nearly impossible... but that doesn't stop me from trying.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
My computer comes up with an error stating that "a required .DLL file, D3D9.DDL, was not found." Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
