Things Missed in RCT2 that shoould be in the Exp.

Truly we all know that Chris could have added a few new flat rides in RCT2, which was dicussed but lets pretend that you are Chris's new helper and he gave you the chance to design the new Exp. Pack. Other than "Wacky Worlds" what would you call it and name some new rides!!!

Personaly I would like a Parachute jump like at Coney Island in New York NOT like the ELEVATORS Intamin made.

Also Attractions such as Dolphin Aquatic shows, wild west shows, etc etc.

Also instead of Six Flags why not try recreating defunct Amusement Parks, and Rides. So we can appreciate the past as much as the present. Or maybe recreate a parks past CP in the 1950's??? Along that line.

What noone would want a say of what gos into the Exp. Pack
Because defunt parks can't pony up the cash that Six Flags did to be featured...

Hey dude, first of all, welcome to the boards. Second of all, there's no need to follow up your post 40 minutes later. Give it a day or two so that everyone has a chance to see it, then you will get replies. Just sit back and take it easy, responses will come.

I think it would be nice to see a rocket coaster.
Rollercoasters

ROCKET COASTER, a better water coaster ( think Europa Park), more elements for TA2K, and vert drop coaster, larger corkscrews, intamin invert, and zero G roll for B&M's.

Flat Rides

Chaos, Tilter, Trioka, super slide ( long straght), spider/octapus, music experss would be awesome, un-theme the magic carpet and teacups!!!

Stalls

Games Games Games, midway games would make the parks seem more realistic, face painting, and corndogs a classic!!!!

Scenery

All I can think of is costruction scenery to place around a coaster/ride being built.

Others

Petting Zoo, animal shows, fireworks, make the days longer, money value more realistic, and an off season would rock!

I would like to finish off by saying that close to 80% of these ideas were picked up from reading forums n coasterbuzz.com and in no way am I taking credit for them... I speak for the people

He absolutely should remove the restrictions on the number of ride a theme options you can have in a senario. If not the he must make it so you can go back into the object seletion while playing the game if you decide you don't want one ride in your park but do want another.

Exanple : you choose the reverser coaster or abstract theming but then decide you would've rather had a ice cream stall or pirate theming. He should give us the ability to do this after the senario is saved. The "convert saved game to senario" feature doesn't allow you to go this far back into the process

Also how about letting you set the degree for the drop.

Ex. Make it so the you cane make a real looking drop like MF can not be recreated without the 80 degree first drop and FAN TURNS.

Also how bout a swooping drop like most B&M coasters, Ex. Kumbas first drop swoops down.

Choosing your own drop angle would be cool, but they need overbanked turns like on Millennium Force too. It also needs waterpark rides, extra-pay rides and new roller coaster types such as the strata, rocket, tilt, and halfpipe coasters.

I agree. They make the park go into nighttime mode. It would be cool to see the rides light up at night. And they should also have special stalls created to sell glow in the dark items. Also for night mode if you do not install enough of lamps, and there are not enough of rides around people will start to complain that they cannot see where they are going.

It would also be cool to have a parking lot where you can see cars park and people get out of the cars to go into the park and people drive off when they leave. That way you can also have an option to make people pay for parking.

I would also like to see a tiltawhirl and a bungee jumping ride. They should also have resturants

Also a Parachute Ride like this would be a real good thrill ride.

I'd like to see more of the obvious objects he missed (that some wonderful people have created on their own), like inside and outside corners for roofs, snowy bushes, etc.

Flesh out the existing themes instead of creating new ones. Put the 'panda' stuff into the asian theme, along with paper lanterns and dragons and rock gardens and stuff. Virtually every theme could stand to double in size quite easily.

Re-organize the objects... there's "room" for 128 "buildings", yet most of the buildings are classified as 'objects' instead of 'buildings'. What's up with that? It would certainly help with silly limits if he'd have done this much right.

And oh yeah, raise the limits by about a factor of 8. At least.

Restore the mountain/crater tool, and restore the original path selection options, as well as adding a color picker so you can create your own queue line colors. You should be able to mix and match queue lines and paths with supports. Also don't tie queue selection to path selection: that's just annoying. Changing one shouldn't change the other. And provide "fences" that match the fences along the queues and elevated paths, so we can add them even if the paths are along the ground.

Add additional radius turns to several rides. The water rides especially need "large" radius turns and the ability to build straight and hills on 45-degree angles. I'd love to see many coasters, especially the Giga, get extra large helixes.

Fix the bug in the computation of the extremeness and nausea of the roto-drop ride. I should be able to build a 300 foot tall one that peeps will actually ride.

Fix the bug in the peep AI that gives them too great a chance of doing a 180 when they encounter a stall, ride entrance or junction. People don't double back usually in real life, and it causes all sorts of problems in the game. I'd also like really thirsty or hungry peeps to be more aware of the stalls their passing, and get something to eat or drink rather than walking on by. Same with bathroom. If I pick up a peep that is flashing-red on bathroom and set him by a bathroom, he should immediately go in. Ditto a sick peep when placed near a first aid stall.

Additionally, with peeps, I don't care if they're set for 'more extreme', they should still get on gentler rides. I love extreme, but I still get on the train rides. In fact, all peeps should consider "transport rides" in their path finding, and always get on them (especially if they're free) to get places.

In the scenereo editor, add more flexibility with the goals. Allow me to specify how many coasters (don't assume 10), and what the minimum park rating can be (don't assume 700), etc. Instead of just specifying "extreme peeps" let me set the range of prefered excitements. There's no reason that all peeps should completely reject any ride less than 6 on the extreme meter if you want "more extreme" peeps.

When converting a save-game into a scenereo, we should be allowed to reset the amount of money and loan, and reset things like vomit, vandalism, and the number of peeps in the park, etc.

There's a bug where flowers placed outside the park boundries wither and die. If they're outside the park, they should stay fine, just the way the grass stays mowed.

Rain should water the gardens and flowers and restore them.

We need more see-through options, especially see-through paths. In addition, I'd like to specify see-throughness in finer granularity: see through JUST rides, but not stalls... or just stalls, but not rides. See through coasters but not thrill rides, or vice-versa. And a "see through all rides and scenery except the ride I'm constructing" would be useful too.

The park map should be zoomable. This map is useless at high resolutions, and if you could zoom it, it'd make a nice 'over-head view'. At least 2x and 4x zooms.

I'd like the ability to offer multiple marketing campaigns at once, like free rides on several different rides, or free coupons for several different food/drink items, or advertising for several different rides. At once. If I can afford it, I'd like to do it.

That's enough for now, but I have dozens of more things I'd fix, change, or enhance if I had the power :-)

How about being able to have many different water types in one park, fix the bug so peeps can navigate down paths more then one square wide and allow a for a line to branch off (so on a racer you can start with a queue for both coasters and then have it branch off at one point) .

Excuse my lack of knowledge, because I stoped keeping up with coaster news the last year. I'm back to this CB Forum. What is a Strata coaster, rocket and halfpipe coaster?

I just got RCT2 so that might be why im interested again!

Strata coaster = coaster > 400ft
Rocket coaster = Xcelerator @ KBF
Hlaf Pipe coaster = methinks he is referring to the the arrow pipe line coaster

------------------
Welcome to Planet Nupe!

No, Half Pipe coaster is something new from Intamin, it's like a skateboarding Half Pipe, and there is a car that is lauched up the sides, back and forth, with LIM/LSM moters, and the car spins while it's in motion. Kinda similar to a Hammerhead Stall by Vekoma, but then not. There are pix on www.rcdb.com of it, just go under Intamin, and Halfpipe Coaster, and it's there!:)

There is no spoon.

overbank is somewhat unlikely...think about it---the only SF park with an overbank is Superman ride of steel...if they change the name to just the Ride of Steel, then well prolly get an overbank.

id also like a rocket coaster, intamin looper, hammerhead turn (blah, almost an overbank)

Does anyone remember the Disney game Coasters? You were able to set the drop to 60 degrees, in increments of 5. you should be able to do that to 90 degrees. also, you could set the banking on the turns. this should also be added into the expansion pack. overbanked turns would be great, as well as pictures showing what the cars would looklike on the 4-d angles

Money:

Money should be more realistic, it does not cost 10,000 dollars to make a full wooden coaster that lasts around 2:30 seconds. they should make it in the millions, for reality sake

more coasters, games, night and day, hotels, water parks, skytowers and thrill rides for pay (rock wall)

make it themepark resort tycoon???

The Mr. Freeze coasters (located at SFoT and SFStL) also have an overbank.
