Things I noticed @ DP.....

I drove by the park today and they were testing a few rides like Steel Force, Sea Dragon, Enterprise, Skyscraper, and Meteor. If I am not mistaken, the supports for the Sea Dragon used to be white and are now a teal-like color. The cars on the Enterprise have been painted orange! And I noticed on the Wave Swinger, the top is now red and orange striped! The new paint jobs look very nice! Can't wait to see what else they did in the park! Also, Steel Force seemed to be running pretty well, it seemed to be going pretty fast over the bunny hops!

Good to hear! How does Meteor look? I can't wait until they open next weekend!

Ipening day is going to rule. Meteor is looking good, as I went in the back employees entrance and watched it run. Also, dorney got a new tilt-a-whirl and thunderhawk and hercules got retracked. I agree that all the rides are looking great, and I can't wait till next weekend to ride Meteor!

How do you know thawk and herc got retracked?

I've been working at dorney for the last few weeks....the new tilt-a-whirl is sweet....i font like the new paint job on the enterprise, it looked fine before....the metor is alot better than i thought it would be....it is a fun ride but they are running it on its shortest cycle time...the seadragon did get painted and the heads were redone....center stage is in alot better position now, you get a nice view of steel force while watchin the show....there is no show in the redgartor saloon any more, however there is a new show around hercules.

great, now all they have to do is take the trims brakes off of hercules at the top of the main drop and b4 diving under the station. still waiting for hercules improvements

Before they painted those other rides, they should've got the company who repainted Laser to redo their work. It looked absolutely awful last summer.

just for the hercules fans....when i run it i turn the brakes off at the top of the hill to get a better ride....if you ask the opreator when the train isnt full they might do it for ya

See that's weird that the ops can control brakes at DP as I believe Maintainence controls that at VF. Not sure though

Speaking of repainting rides, I wish that Dorney would repaint Thunderhawk that wonderful bright gold/yellow color that is used to be. That weird cream/dirty white color that is has been for the past few years just doesn't work! Perhaps a painter could accidentally knock the trim brake off of the speed hill towards the end of the ride while he/she is doing their thing!

What is The Meteor?

Hard to beleive the ride ops can control the brakes. At Cork at VF, the controls for the brakes are under the station, which only maintainence has a key for. Maybe they are just telling you they will do it, and since you think they do it, it makes it a better ride for you.

u have made my day. i havent rid herc w/o the trims since the mid nineties. and just so ya know, anyone who hasnt ridden herc w/o the trims, it is a totally different ride. o so much better. packs a hell of alot more punch and doesnt leave the end of the ride so lacklustering. it actually lives up to its name and runs like it was built too. however, hes still gonna kik ur a*s*s. herc is a rough ride. if u dont like rough,, dont ride him and save ur complainin its o so dayum old. (for no clue why: do u take both trims off when u do this or just the 1 at the top of the main drop?)

we can only control the brake at the top pf the hill, but that makes a big diffenence on the whole ride. the rest of the brakes are controled by maintiance
