They’re baaack (Six Flags Dining Plans and Memberships)

Do we know that there are any Chrstmas events planned for this year / next year? AT least from my understanding of SFGAmerica there are no plans for future Christmas events right now (which is unfortunate - my Christmas isn't ruined without it, but it was a nice, different type of event.

Looks like some parks will have it (SFMM, SFOT, SFOG among them) but it's being cut at some other parks, such as SFDK.

And there it is. I was waiting for the email from Six Flags offering their "Best Deal" for their past season pass holders. So here's the offer:

  • Your Exclusive Offer Has 48 Hours Left!
    Claim it before September 5
We loved having you at Six Flags! As a thank you for being a loyal fan, we made the best deal yet, just for you.
  • Now through September 5, when you purchase a Gold Thrill Seeker Annual Membership at a discount, you'll get a FREE upgrade to a Platinum Thrill Seeker Annual Membership and more!
  • Experience all of the events and thrills of Six Flags! With a Platinum Thrill Seeker Membership you get admission to all Six Flags outdoor parks, including Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor New Jersey, and more discounts than Gold Thrill Seeker Members.
  • Your Platinum Thrill Seeker Membership includes admission to all Six Flags outdoor parks for 12 months after date of purchase.
  • Stay refreshed with a 2022 drink bottle with free refills on soft drinks for the rest of the year.

So they are offering the Platinum pass for $85 ($50 off the $135 list price of Platinum.) I was going to buy the Gold for $95, so um yeah, I'll take the Platinum for $85. I am still shaking my head from that $39.00 offer last year, and will gladly help Six Flags out with a $100 (Especially as often as I go!)

Sounds like Six Flags babysitting is still open.

Saying they're ending their cheap babysitting weeks before running the Labor Day fire sale they run every year is the most Six Flags thing ever.

Are there indoor parks?

Hi

kpjb:
Are there indoor parks?

Currently no that I am aware of (except for an indoor water park). But that has not always been the case in the past. At one time there was Six Flags Autoworld in Flint, MI (OK, there's going to be a pattern here) as well as Six Flags Power Plant in Baltimore, MD (pattern continues)...

I remember the last time I used the overpopular dining pass at my home park SF Great America. A 57 minute wait in line, cold fries w/hot cheese and they were out of diet coke (which was usually the situation in July/August, not October, strange!)

No dining pass for me again, thanks. I don't like trying to spend money at SF parks. They even make theat difficult, confusing and annoying.

yep. all part of that old six flags problem: lack of a quality customer experience. They don’t do anything to make a customers day feel special.

Six Flags = the wal mart of theme parks

Were you in the Hometown Square area of the park? We tend to avoid that area when we are looking for a place to eat since there are so many food places and so many people. We usually hit up Mooseburger Lodge or the pizza place by Dark Knight. The food is serviceable and I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes. That being said, I am probably going to pass on the dining plan this year. I'm not 100% clear if the dining pass is good at other parks if I have the appropriate membership (grandfathered Platinum membership)

^The last time I used the pass (probably over 8 years ago), it was at Mooseburger Lodge. I always plan for food if I go to a SF park. Even if friends with me have the pass/want to eat inside, I'll still run outside for food, and then come back to sit with them. It's just not worth the risk, been burned too many times.

Totally get it. Their food is such a crap shoot.

It can be a bit confusing. So, the statement "admission to all Six Flags outdoor parks", means you can go to ALL of the Six Flags parks in the country with this pass. Free parking and free entry to EVERY park

I think they used the words "outdoor park" to distinguish them from the "water parks" at some locations. Six Flags New Jersey has a water park separated from the "outdoor ride park." You need a pass that grants you access to both the "water" and "outdoor" park. This Platinum pass gives me access to both of these parks, which are located across the parking lot from one another. My current Six Flags Season Pass is ONLY for my home park of Six Flags America. I can't use it any other Six Flags park (this was something new for 2022.) Six Flags America has a water park, however it is included with entry to the park. The Gold Thrill Seeker pass that I was going to buy this year, was good at my home park and parks located in North East. In my case, the only other park within driving distance is Six Flags Great America in New Jersey. So the Gold Thrill Seeker pass would have been fine, however if they want to throw in the Platinum pass, I'll take it.
