There is a Difference Between the GP and Stupidity

Yes there really is! People don't think that though. They just think that the GP is stupid. Here's a true example that proves people wrong(kind of). One day, while at PKI, me and a group of friends where waiting outside to the gates. Then, one of my friends, while looking at the Face/Off, asked me if that was the Corkscrew at CP. (This is where I answer his stupidity and him being the GP). KNowing he was smart, I figured he probably knew what a corkscrew was, so I asked, "Do you see a corkscrew", and he said no. So the GP part of this was that the Corkscrew was at CP which is a general GP mistake.Any of you have any scenarios like this or just realize that they where being stupid not the GP? Another good example of stupidity is "When is the 10:00 lights show?" Catch my drift?

Or, maybe people have a life, and that life doesn't revolve around knowing design characteristics of every amusement ride?
Well some people from the GP know what a loop and a corkscrew is but some thing thats a upsidedownee.

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone

I would rather listen to someone who is "uneducated" but enthusiastic while in a queue line (i.e. what most would classify as "GP") than some self appointed expert know it all "enthusiast" who feels the need to "impress" others in line with his vast knowledge of every little stat and tech detail along with reciting all of the coasters he has ridden.

Besides... as said sooooooo many times before... to the parks, we are all "GP" (i.e. unless you work for a park or a coaster company... join the masses of the "GP" with the rest of us).

I'm a GPer, and I'm ignorant, too.

Let me ask you this, Lewis-can you identify the parts of an aircraft engine? how about writing out an E Flat phrygian mode? Program in C++? No? Well then please show some tolerance for those who don't share your knowledge of inversions. Maybe they are knowledgable about other subjects which interest them and they are at the park to *shock* have a good time, not spout nonsense.

I couldn't agree more!

At Coastermania last weekend, my wife and I were in front of this dude and he went on and on about coasters and stats and coasters that he has ridden.........blah, blah, blah!

I mean come on, after 40 minutes of this crap I no longer care to ride, just get me outta here!

So many coasters, so little vacation time....

Man That is why I will never join ace, they go on tv and alot of them make themselves look like loseres. alot of them are cool though, but the ones on t.v. scare me. I have been in line with acers and these were the cool type, they did not put coasters as number one in their life.

boy, it sure seems like there is a weird relationship going on here. everyone gets mad when someone says "stupid gp", but normally, nothing is said when ever someone from ace gets on a coaster show and is automatically referred to as a loser or something of the like. and limwarrior, it is a very rare and odd occasion when someone new gets on a coaster show.

If your really evil in this life, do you come back as toilet paper????
ladies and gentlemen, due to an increase in line jumping, people caught cutting in line will no longer be ejected from the park. u will be ejected from the ride
