The wooden coaster projects you know about.

Base this on some sort of fact please.

Here are the ones I know about and where I can name a manufacture I will.

1. Ravine Flyer 2 at Waldemeer. Was going to be built by CCI but who knows now or if it will ever get built pending environmental studies.

2. Bells Park, CCI desiged them a coaster, Modified it to put about 60% of it indoors and they are still facing area zoning troubles.

3. Cliffs, Will this be finished?

4. That SF park in Washington This is being built but my guess is In House.

TOGO!

Chuck, I believe that the New Mexico Rattler opened last month, making it the final CCI to be built.

I was there in late June, and was unfortunetely unable to get to Cliff's Park. I did however see numerous signs for the ride all over Albequerque.

Im positive they havent opened NMR at Cliffs yet. Cliffs said they will just contract people from CCI to finish it and pay them and whoever they need by themselves.

N.M. Rattler construction continuesThe recent announcemnt of the closing of Custom Coasters International hits home to residents of New Mexico as CCI is the designer and builder of the New Mexico Rattler, a new-for-2002 wooden coaster currently under construction at Cliff's Amusement Park in Albuquerque. Cliff's has stepped up on behalf of park guests and coaster enthusiasts to see that the ride is completed. Cliff's intends to contract directly with CCI's former workforce and subcontractors to accomplish this. "Our plans haven't changed," said Cliff's owner Gary Hays. "We fully intend to complete The New Mexico Rattler and it will still be the exact same intense and wild ride it was planned to be. The only difference now is that Cliff's will be contracting directly for the work rather than paying Custom Coasters to handle it." Utilizing a team largely comprised of New Mexico residents, the New Mexico Rattler has been under construction since early spring, and park officials still hope to have it completed before this summer's end, at the latest. "There is no doubt that the events with Custom Coasters have slowed the process a bit," said Cliff's Linda Hays. "However, we have always kept current with the project, its construction, and its billing and, now we are even more focused on the project. Now that we are controlling its construction in-house, this roller coaster is an even greater part of the Cliff's family and has increased its ties with the rich and ever-growing history. We are more eager than ever to see the first guests race down the coaster's 100 foot hill." By: Scott Rutherford
